chose norfolk wholesale for my wedding next month. Everything went well at first. The consultations went well. I was confident that the florist Sandie knew what I wanted. I was wrong. At our final consultation I told her that I wanted my toss bouquet to double as portrait flowers so to make a silk replica of what I want for my fresh bridal bouquet so I can use it for my bridal portrait. Also I wanted silk replicas of my flower hair pins. I was suppose to pick it up April 1st. All of this is written on my paperwork...the pick up date and that it wasnt a basic toss bouquet. Not only was the bouquet not what I asked for... it was done on April 4th and the hair pins were still not done. My sister picked it up for me so I had to call to let them know I was not happy with it and that i had concerns about it being late. I didnt want to run into this issue on my wedding day. Sandie wasnt in when I called at 5:45 ish. Sandie called me back after hours and I told her I think there was a communication issue with the portrait flowers. As I was beginning to tell her what I wanted she said things like "I never seen someone like this over a toss bouquet" and that what I wanted would be extra. I told her thats perfectly fine but she could have said that during the consultation when i told her it wouldnt be just a toss bouquet. I started sating that I can bring more pictures examples of what I want and she basically said emotionally that she wouldnt be able to please me if Im not even happy with a toss bouquet and I should just get my money back. I told her she didnt have to get emotional about it and asked if she was seriously telling me to take my business else where. I was shocked and angry. I told her ok and i would be sure to write a review about my experience. What I wanted was on the paper work Im literally looking at the paper right now. My wedding is next month and now I have no florist. Im so disappointed.

I went to Norfolk Wholesale today for my consultation with Sandy and I was SO pleased! I honestly was not expecting such a great experience. After showing Sandy a few pictures, she left and came back with a bouquet she created on the spot of what I wanted- AND I got to go home with it as a keepsake, how cool!! She is very knowledgeable and is clearly fantastic at what she does. Not only was the service great, but the price was phenomenal. I was expecting it to be cheaper, but not as cheap as it ended up being- around $600 for 6 bouquets (including mine), 12 bouttenieres (sp?), 3 wrist corsaiges, 4 pin corsaiges, rose petals for the aisle, and a few flowers for the cake!! Obviously the prices will be different for each person depending on flower type, but my bridal bouquet was $100, bridesmaids were $50, and boutennieres were about $13 just to give you a rough price range. The only downside I can possibly think of is that they do not deliver past the tunnel, which is understandable since they are a wholesale business. But I would say it is definitely worth the drive from Williamsburg-Norfolk for such a great deal and great service!

Huge location, nice selection, but unless you are a bride using a "florist to the stars" type location, you are not going to save anything here. They charge a $30 consultation fee (which is applied to your floral purchase should you choose to use them) and $85 to deliver the flowers (within less than a 10 mile radius--god only knows how much theyd charge to deliver outside that). The flowers are nice, but the consultation is very rushed, by a semi dis-interested consultant. The florist we chose charged us exactly the same prices, for the same flowers, (except their charge for corsages and boutonnieres was actually less than NWF), and only charged a $20 delivery fee. BTW, they were 17 miles away from our location--NWF was less than 8. If youre interested in picking up the florals yourself, you can get the same flowers from a local grocery store floral department and save even more money. We seriously considered going that route but really did not want to have to worry about picking up the flowers ourselves. They offer a nice product but apparently do not offer any service to go along with it.

Im a flower child through and through. Norfolk Wholesale Floral absolutely blew me away from the moment I had my consultation with Sandy to when I saw them waiting for me the day of my wedding. The entire experience was amazing and WELL within a reasonable budget. I had no idea how expensive flowers could be, so I was discouraged after talking to several florists and getting quotes that seemed so high. After meeting with Sandy, I was honestly shocked at how reasonable the quote was compared to all the other quotes I got, for the exact same flowers! I quickly called my mom, told her I found our florist, and we were well on our way. I wish so badly that there was a way to keep my bouquet fresh and as beautiful as it was the day of my wedding. Besides marring my husband, I can honestly say, the florals were the favorite thing about our wedding. Absolutely breathtaking!

I typically rely on Norfolk Wholesale as a back-up when the real wholesale floral companies are closed on the weekends--just in case disasters happen before weddings. Well today, after checking their hours online and calling to confirm said hours, I drove 45 minutes (precious time when you have a delivery to make) to get there when they open. I waited around 15 minutes past the opening time that is posted boldly online, on their website, on their answering machine, and multiple times on the facade of the building, only to have an employee come outside and announce that they actually dont open until 9. Even their answering service was unaware that they had decided to randomly change their hours. This is extremely unprofessional and definitely not how you run a business!!

The service was very dry and the sales consultant really didnt seem to care whether I spent my wedding money there or not. She really didnt get to know me as a bride or what i wanted. I was referred by a previous bride that was highly satisfied and had a beautiful mock, wedding, and toss bouquet from Norfolk wholesale floral. Yet, when I went, i received a hideous mock bouquet, and someone who just didnt seem intrigued I came there as my first choice to get my flowers. I received a decent price quote, and was told I would recieve a follow up call yet its been almost 4 months and no call or follow up.

They are not wholesale. You are paying retail for the lowest quality flower. For example: Roses wholesale are anywhere from 25 cents a piece (for the quality a florist would call "work roses") the quality you would rip the head off to use for flower petals. to a beautiful rose that costs almost 3 dollars wholesale or maybe even more. here you are paying full retail for the work roses and never expect to get a beautiful garden rose or one of higher quality here. All self respecting Florists go elsewhere. Just know you are shopping at the "Dollar General" and not buying quality.
