If I could give him no stars I would. But apparently you cant! I purchased a gun through Gallery of Guns. The people were friendly and so willing to help. I got it sent to Ron Hess gun shop. Not knowing the reviews. My background was denied. And I was told by him that hes kept guns up to 10 years in his store. It took me 4 years to finally get my background fixed. I finally received my paperwork and called him. I was told to come down. (Mind you I called this guy twice while still going through the process)I drove all the way from Suffolk. When I showed up I find out he sold my gun to someone else. I told him I was calling the cops. Hes a rude disrespectful guy and needs to learn some manners!!! I told him he had no right to sell my gun and he broke the law. And also said that he told me he would hold onto it. He made the excuse I never called him. I call him a liar because I called twice. He told me he has no record of it. He didnt even look at anything. I was sitting in my car waiting on the cops to show up when he came out and told me he can get the same exact gun for me. Found out through Dew that what he said was a lie because you can no longer get what I bought! Drew helped me out and got a gun shipped out that I picked. This all happened 9/9! I have still not received my gun nor a call saying my gun is at his shop! Ive tried calling and just get a recording that its busy. Ive called different times of day on numerous days and still get the same recording. Please dont buy anything from this guy! Hes an ass and doesnt deserve your business.

Just got the worst experience Ive ever had in my life. The guy is off his rockers. Told me to get out of his store because I looked at my phone where I wrote down the models I wanted to buy so I can look at them. As I stood there apologizing for what ever he took as an insult and trying to get him to calm down to talk to me like a human being, he would not stop the verbal assault. There was another Gentleman sitting there and as I looked at him his face was in shock and embarrassment in regard to this situation. I kept trying to explain to him that Im not using the phone to anything Elise but to look at the model numbers of certain guns I wanted to see about purchasing. As I was leaving I was still apologizing and trying to find out what was it that I did or said that he found so offensive to kick me out of the store. He kept insulting me and saying Im looking at girl guns and want to shoot dogs and girls. Kept asking me where I work and where Im from to be the most insulting experience of my life. Got mad at me for looking at a gun and not buying it right alway. His first couple of topics in the conversation were emphasized on how mean he was and how he is still open for 40 years. I felt attacked, belittled, and insulted so I strongly want to discourage anyone from going to disestablishment and dealing with this racist(Im white/European), sexist, and mentally unstable person.

We went into Ron Hess and it was the worst experience I have ever had in a gun shop. Upon walking in, I noticed it was very cluttered and disorganized. The gentleman (for lack of better term) behind the counter proceeded to ask us what we needed. We told him we were looking at buying a gun and have been looking around at differant places and guns shows to find the right one. I have never owned a gun and am not sure what I am looking for. He then started rambling on about the gun show and how it is a mistake to look there and then he wouldnt help us! When my husband asked a question, he said it would be $10 to answer it because that is the cost it would be to get into a gun show. More was said, bottom line, the guy was a total jerk! We never said we were not seriously looking at his guns to purchuse, so we should not have been treated like dirt. We have been there before to buy ammo and such but after our encounter we will be driving 30 minutes out of our way just so we dont have to give our money to them. I have never in my life been treated that way and for someone who works with people, he needs to learn a lot of respect. After doing research, I have found that numerous others have given him bad reviews. I am just astonished that they are still in buisness. Please dont waste your time or money at Ron Hess!

So i went in specifically looking for a specific rifle that other shops (Bobs) simply said "You might not have it until Christmas" and it was only July. Yes... I took some flak when I mentioned wanting stainless steal and the possibility of changing out the stock. "What, you want to look cool out at the rifle range or do you want it to be a hunting rifle?" Most of the pokes at me was about making my rifle too heavy for hunting white-tails... He was right, but i KNEW what i wanted before heading into the shop. Once you make it clear what you want and why you want it; hell make sure that you get it. When you work through Ron for a weapon, dont expect a fancy shop with everyone wearing a company polo trying to sell you something you dont really need. Do your homework and Ron will respect you more and treat you accordingly. His shop is more like a garage than a showroom. This individual can get you pretty much whatever you want at bottom prices. He is that individual that wants to arm America!!! You can tell that by his low prices and the fact that he openly carries. Rifle: Received within 10 days. Scope: Currently on order at prices better than internet. Prognosis: Entertaining trips to the gun shop.

Ive driven by this place nearly every day for three years and finally stopped in, what a mistake. The old timer behind the counter (I assume was the owner) didnt even take a break from his news paper to say hello (the most basic of customer service expectations), let alone offer any helpful let alone friendly information when I asked him questions. I inquired about a shotgun on the wall and the reply I received was "your eyes work? You can read the price tag." The only visible tag was the Remington manufactures tag....so I asked if he had any 22LR and instead of simply saying yes or no, he went on a three minute rant about the amount of people asking him for 22LR ammo...I simply said "Ok dude, you really must not want to make a sale, adios" and walked out. The store is not organized in any way, its more of a second hand surplus store (and a low grade one at that). I saw a box of GI spec 30 round AR mags (with the old green followers that get caught up) price per mag was $45.00. Im all about being fair in my reviews, but I wouldnt waste the gas or time to stop there. Im honestly surprised the ghetto surrounding the store hasnt consumed it yet.
