If I wasnt so tired, I would have turned around after the first ten minutes and driven further out to food lion. I realized shortly into my visit that there were not a lot of healthier brand options in this store, mostly heavily processed foods. The produce area is clearly under maintained. Several items were spoiled, including almost every package of strawberries all covered in mould. I noticed that many dairy items were actually on the shelf beyond the expiration date, meaning that if I hadnt noticed, I would have purchased spoiled food. In the frozen aisles half the products were covered with trash bags. Staff was not very friendly or attentive. Of course, I noticed after starting the check out process that I would have to spend extra time in the store bagging my own items. It seems that it took the same amount of time for the cashier to figure out where to place items back in the cart as it would for her to just bag the items. When I got home I immediately put a microwave frozen package of macaroni and cheese, discovered an ant dead in it while I was eating. Sadly, I wasnt surprised. I was hoping to have a closer grocery store to my house, unfortunately I dont think I will shop here again.

Save a lot is a crappy discount grocery store. As far as crappy discount grocery stores go, its not bad. I go there mainly to get the banquet frozen peach pies, which are surprisingly incredible and I cannot find anywhere else, although their milk prices are comparable to Walmart and their bargain brand corn flake cereal is pretty good.

As Porsha Greenwald my experience was actually quite in expected it was very cleansed and had a variety of meat. But went Porsha had to grab a bag with her freshly manicured hands and I had to do the most despicable thing, and that was bag my own groceries. Friendly staff, great prices. I especially like the managers specials they offer featuring steep price cuts on foods appeoaching the sell by date. Reducing food waste and providing reduced price nutritious food to the community is a win win.

Was a good cheap place to grab a couple pf snacks for a party way better variety them family dollar when it comes to saving and getting barbecue items, do not purchase milk and meat its old.
