New record of 26 min. to checkout. My frozen yogurt was MELTED. They have 25 or 26 registers yet only 2-3 are open at any given time. Cashiers are spiteful, if they see you in a hurry then tend to move that much slower. Not only have I lived through this I have seen them do that to others who are in rush. They never give their 5Cent bag credit, coupons never ring up, sale prices never ring up right (ITs always in Giants favor). Food they have on the shelf will not be found in the system at the checkout, Ive never seen anything like this. Forget buying ANY meat at this store, when meats staked 8 packages high and they are bloated and swollen and funny colors NOT A GOOD IDEA. Their meat manager needs to be fired. We have told them more times they we can count, the health department has told them too many times to count yet the problem still remains.

Prices are not good and the customer service is horrible. I used to work for Safeway and I know how grocery stores work and how workers are supposed to act. The minimum wage workers here are hateful and very unfriendly. I get dirty looks from them when I ask them for guidance, which they get paid by corporate to do. It seems that cashiers have the option to tell the customer if the Giant card did or did not go through, if THEY FEEL like it. The manager there, with the ugly beard, is somehow arrogant about still working in a grocery store, even when he looks around 60 years old. Even though I live very close to there, I will never shop there again, I will start going to Aldi. The fact that the customers are kinder than the workers, should show how much a mess this place is.

I have heard some horror stories about Giant from all sorts of people and I have to say I have yet to notice one of them being true. In fact the only thing I admit might be true is that for some reason they have a ton of cashier stations but only 3 or 4 are open at a time. The cashier workers are also pretty slow to tell you the truth. I have been shopping here for years and I have yet to buy something rotten or infested with bugs. The store is clean and you never had a hard time finding any parking. I will always be going here probably since I sometimes work the night shift and they are one of the few stores open 24 hours a day.

PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS GAINT the worst store i have ever been in my live has a very poor management and advertise wrong and if you are there after 10 P.M. make sure you everything before you payed because they dont give refunds after 10 P.M. if you then you will have to wait the next day and what ever you buying make sure you check because they sell a lot of expired foods

Pro: The store is clean, the parking lot is large and the prices are (generally) lower than Harris Teeter and more or less on par with Safeway. Cons: They seem to run out of items more often than Harris Teeter or Safeway – this is particularly true near the end of the week. Also, cashiers seem annoyed if you don’t bag your own groceries and carts are not gathered up very often.

Dont like most of the employees or the managers. I own a very intelligent Service Animal. Hes a 10lb Yorkie that I CARRY in my PURSE.. They harass and try to bully me about my SA. Obviously ignorant to the ADA law regarding the rights of SA owners. If it happens again ... Im gonna raise my voice & make a scene. Hes is my purse, not trotting along beside me!!!! Good Grief...

Large supermarket, part of DC-area chain. Very international food offerings, and Natures Promise offerings are a bit more organic. Produce depends on time of day_its sparse after peak hours. ScanIt is unreliable. Staff is very nice once they get to know you. Sundays everyone wears NFL jerseys! Not fancy, but close to home and post of my neighborhood

My fault for not checking expiration dates, but bought a bunch of groceries just now. 2 bags of matador beef jerky expired in early 2016. Hillshire snackin small plate expired 06/12/17. Even the utz cheese ball my son was eating expired 07/10/17... 3 different parts of the store with gross expired goods. They clearly do not care about health concerns

Great prices and no problems with stock. Also, service has been wonderful, helpful, kind and accommodating. Another plus is that one need not bring ones own bags because the store is under Virginia rules despite its proximity to DC. Plenty of parking. Bike share drop-off is only a five minute walk.

Nice size store with lots of options. But, I normally cant find the same specialty items from week to week. They also never have enough checkout lanes open. I always check all my food because they constantly have expired or soon to be expired (on a couple of days) food on the shelves.

For the 3rd time in two week, early this morning I returned rotten food. The chicken wings I had purchased were ROTTEN. Before that, oranges, and before that more meat. I suspect if this location were in a more affluent neighborhood this wouldnt be happening.

I am disappointed in the selections geared to single people. It seems most things offered are for families. Remember there are many many clients who are single and do not need large amounts. To be honest I miss my favorite store.

Reasonable food and reasonable prices. The service is generally friendly and the check-out speed isnt bad. Id say about 1 trips in 4 the checkout seems to take longer than youd like, but about par for the course for this area.

Very dirty and everything goes bad right after you buy it. Im trying to figure out if all Giants suck or just this one because sometimes the prices in the ads make me want to go, but this place is too gross

Wow! Dont go to the mens room. Its really stinks. The only thing clean in the room was the sign off sheet showing the last time it was cleaned. Makes you wonder how clean the deli and bakery are.

I think this is a great store with a great staff. It carries everything. The deli is great always look fresh . This is the biggest and best store Giant has in this area .

The courtesy counter should have 2 associates at all times. Lines are way to long for the customers who are only trying to purchase cigarettes.
