I was initially skeptical that a wine shop could have such an impressive collection of craft beers. While the beer section pales in comparison to the quantity of wine available, the quality is equivalent. There are a wide variety of beer styles and regional offerings represented on the shelf. AWS frequently has rare seasonals available, and they do a decent job of limiting 1-2 rare bottles per customer. The staff is down-to-earth and always friendly and quick with good recommendations. I highly recommend this place to my fellow local beer connoisseurs. Protip: Follow them on Twitter to know when new beers are available (@AshburnWineShop).

Sergio and the rest of the staff are always very helpful and have great wine suggestions. I purchase my kegs from the shop and they can order and have the keg ready for pickup, usually in 2 days. It is also nice that they have my history of wines handy for when I say something like, "what was that really dry malbec that I bought last month that started with an A?" It adds a very personal touch to the service. I love stopping by, and I never travel to Total Wine anymore.

Awesome specialty wine and beer shop. Knowledgeable staff, friendly atmosphere, and a large selection of hard-to-find wine and beer. Blows away Total Wine. If they dont have what you want, they can likely get it. FREE wine tastings every Friday 5 to 8, Saturday 2 to 6, and FREE beer tastings Thursdays 5 to 8.
