I absolutely love this store and the girls that work there are, in my opinion, phenomenal. I am honestly really shocked by how many negative reviews Ive seen here about this place, as I have NEVER had a bad experience (and I visit fairly frequently). I am a huge make-up junkie and had never visited Mirror Mirror until two years ago because I was concerned that the girls would be snobby and rude, as I dont have the best skin in the world and, at the time, my make-up application skills were lacking in some areas. The girls that work there are the exact opposite of what I expected: they are friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely passionate about cosmetics and skincare. I work in customer service, and I know when Im receiving good service and when Im not; the girls at Mirror Mirror ALWAYS let me try anything on that I want to, ALWAYS have fabulous recommendations for me, and ALWAYS make me feel completely comfortable in every way. I always try to stay on top of the latest make-up trends and collections that are coming out, and so do the girls at Mirror Mirror; I go in knowing that I will walk out with something that is fresh, not outdated. Furthermore, everyone there is extremely passionate about what they do, which not only makes for a better atmosphere and environment to try new things, but also makes you feel excited in knowing that someone feels the same way you do about make-up. As for the comment about a lack of stock, its retail, and a small, independent one at that. Since what they sell are national/international brands, it is difficult for a smaller store in VT, particularly an independent one, to get a ton of stock in when there are about 15 Sephoras in NYC alone asking for the exact same thing. Stuff can and does sell out pretty quick, but if theres something coming out soon that you want, just call ahead and they will hold it for you; Ive done this several times with absolutely no problem. I truly am amazed by the negative comments on here; I have never not been acknowledged when I walked in the door, I have never had an issue returning items (as long as it falls within their extremely generous return policy, considering the nature of the items they sell), and I have never felt like the girls dont know what theyre talking about or try to push items on me they know I wont like. Seriously, I know my stuff, and those girls stand toe-to-toe with me; they are NOT stupid. I also tend to judge a make-up sales associate based on how well his/her make-up is done. If its caked on and looks like they got a little trigger-happy with their colors, I tend to find that they dont know as much about make-up application and skincare as those associates whose make-up is done well. The girls at Mirror Mirror always look flawless, and thus I trust them to recommend items for me and my skin type. Finally, I find it extremely rude that people who are reviewing Mirror Mirror negatively are insinuating that the people who are writing positive reviews for this place are employees and thus all of the positive reviews are biased. I genuinely love this store and the people that work there (and am not an employee), and felt like I had to comment on this; its one thing to have an issue with a place, feel negatively about it and simply share your story, but its quite another to label all the positive reviews as falsified purely because youve had a negative experience with them. Perhaps you should take a look in the mirror and see who the rude one is here; I hear Mirror Mirror has a lot of them.

I have been going to Mirror Mirror for several years simply because I love the Bare Minerals make up and can not find it anywhere else. If there were another store that carried the make up in town, then I would not bring my service to Mirror Mirror. The girls that work there are very rude and extremely unhelpful. Anytime I have walked in there with a question, I leave feeling like I was the "idiot" when the person so called "working" with me simply would not listen. One time I spent 20 minutes listening to one of the girl ramble on about the mineral veil and the different shades, after I had told her several times that was not what I was looking for. Finally another girl understood I was looking for the foundation. The make up is expensive, but well worth the money. If only the customer service were superb, would I be more apt to shop there more frequently. Quite honestly, I HATE going to Mirror Mirror unless I absolutely have to, due to running out of something. Other than that, I do not recommend going to Mirror Mirror unless you know exactly what you are looking for and have very limited questions to ask for the fear of being misguided. It is interesting to see after every "bad" review exists a "good" one. It appears the disappointed reviews are from customers who have actually shopped there, while the excellent reviews are form the people working there.

Very lacking in product, just not testers. I do love mirror mirror but only because its the only place around that carries upscale brands like Laura Mercier, Nars, Juicy Couture, etc. On multiple occasions they have matched me to a make-up I loved but then didnt have it in stock. On my most recent visit, I wanted Laura Mercier mineral foundation and concealer, but they were out of both. On a previous occasion I had the same experience with an eyebrow pencil. One of the girls sold me a "strawburn" eyebrow pencil because I had changed my hair color from blond to a dark auburn. The strawburn was much lighter than any blonde eyebrow pencil I have ever used and of course I couldnt return it. I wanted a darker color of the Laura Mercier pencil that I loved in blonde, but to no surprise they were out of any of the brunette colors. I put my name on a list for when they came in, and it took 2 MONTHS! You are better off just ordering product online from Sephora, it will be there in a few days. There is no way I would go to Mirror Mirror now and expect to just pick up a replacement product I use regularly, it just doesnt happen.

My favorite boutique in Burlington! Walking through the door you are greeted with the lovely aromas of essential oil candles and perfumes, and the most friendly and knowledgable employees. There are brands to fit every beauty style and budget! I absolutely love the natural lines, like Tata Harper, Jurlique, and Fresh, and the variety of high-end cosmetic brands like Bobbi Brown and Trish McEvoy. At least one Saturday of every month the girls of Mirror Mirror host makeup events featuring different Celebrity Makeup Artists from various brands. I recently attended a Trish McEvoy event and was beyond pleased with my new skin-care regiment and the new techniques I was taught! Aside from the amazing quality of makeup, the day spa is perfection and I wouldnt trust any other estheticians with my face! The mani/pedi room is awesome as well, and I love that Im one-on-one with the nail-tech! And men, dont let all of the womens products deceive you, Mirror Mirror carries a ton of men-friendly lines like Kiehls and The Art of Shaving - my go to for fathers day products!

I have been a long time customer of MIrror MIrror. My experience has always been wonderful. The team of women there are always extremely knowledgable, professional and eager to assist me. Recently, I went in to get a mini makeover. As a first time mother, the sleepless nights are starting to catch up with me and I asked if they could help me with a quick and easy makeup routine in the morning. Bryn was amazing and picked all the best shades for my complexion and did a quick tutorial with each item she was using. She made me look and feel 10 years younger! I would highly recommend Mirror Mirror to anyone looking for educated beauty advice and the best products available. They are a local small business and work hard to bring our small state the big city brands, expertise and experience while keeping an approachable, friendly and fun atmosphere!
