I was hired on as a meat clerk. I have worked at sprouts for 6 months. 90% of the time I am the closer for the department. Each night I get soaking wet in meat water as I scrap the hardened meat chunks from the walls, floors, ceilings, machines, and equipment. Every night I leave the department clean and spotless. I do a great job and I know it. Today I arrived at work at 3pm on time. The shelves were empty, there were customers standing and waiting, and the department was a mess. My fellow employee was drooling in the back, not sure he even knew he was at Sprouts. I went down to the manager’s office to ask for help and wanted to know why the department was struggling so badly. I ended up talking with Sharon the head manager. She became very frustrated with me and did not respond with an answer. Instead she turn her back to me and at a brisk pace, while shaking her head and mumbling, ran up to the meat department. When we reached the butcher shop she proceeded to tell me that "there is no problem with the department except for the fact that I wasnt cutting meat and I lacked communication skills." Her words not mine. Sharon treated me as if I was an idiot. She does not know me and we have never held a full conversation in the 6 months that I have worked there (and it isnt that I havent tried). I am not a meat cutter, I am a meat clerk and I am paid as such. It was unfair for her to tell me that this was the problem because cutting is out of my scope. She had also stated that I lacked communication skills. I disagree with this as well because the person I was supposed to communicate with was only semi-conscious. The next person I tried to communicate with was a very frustrated, condescending, rude manager named Sharon. This is not the first time either. I can handle being soaked in meat, smelling like meat, and working with blood, but being treated so stupid and worthless I refuse to be treated that way. Needless to say I quit... "At Sprouts, we believe healthy living is a journey and every meal is a choice. We love to inspire, educate and empower every person to eat healthier and LIVE A BETTER LIFE. This isnt just a mission. Its our passion" Sharon at store 602 does not fit your mission and what you are trying to accomplish at your store. You just dont treat people that way.

I like shopping at Sprouts. From their meat department and fresh produce to their bulk items selections it is always fresh and priced well. I appreciate their selection of spices which I can buy as much or as little as I need. This is also about the only place I can find my favorite Yogurt from Austin TX. Their bakery items are very good. They make some very tasty sandwiches at the deli. Another option I very much appreciate is the cheese selection, they sometimes have smaller portions of new cheeses you can purchase to taste before you make a full investment. Because of their very good sale prices they may run out of items before the end of the day but they are always very good about giving you a rain check or substituting with a comparable item for the same sale price. I like how they always make you see they are very happy you are shopping at their store.

Sprouts keeps a good selection of produce and specialty food. With the Orem area lacking a Trader Joes or whole foods, this is definitely your best option. Prices are hit and miss depending on the item, but they do have discount programs for students, seniors, and one day of the week that anyone can get a discount. Their deli makes custom sandwiches piled high. Compared to what you can make it home its not a great deal, but as an alternative to Subway im quite pleased with the options. They also have a good selection of pre-made meals including sushi, pasta, wraps, and meat. They have saved me on more than one lunch break. If you are terribly concerned about organic products, just double check before you select and buy something. Many items are not at the store even though the name and vibe would make you think everything is organic.

My husband used to run the Vitamin department at the Orem Sprouts location in Utah for 3 plus years. He worked his rear end off and saw store manager after store manager come and go. Finally he was so short staffed in his department due to circumstances out of his control , that he got burned out trying to cover everything. The store manager Raymond Lo was so out of touch with the employees he couldnt relate to the stress he was under and after an altercation my husband was fired. We actually now buy our groceries at Costco where they have an unbelievable amount of reasonably priced organic food.

My husband and I love this store. The employees are always extremely helpful and kind and give great recommendations. Some items are a little overpriced (like cereal and frozen items), but the excellently priced fruit and vegetables make up for it. Their meat selections are also delicious- we have had a great experience with all of them. The only issue weve had is that a few times weve purchased fruit that went bad before it was fully ripe. An employee told us that can happen from refrigerator trucks messing up the ripening cycle. Everything else has been fantastic!

Nice collection of local produce! We have lots of different sales and the prices are really good. They carry a variety of local produce. Rainbow carrots, organic kale, berries, peaches and apricots, melons, tomatoes... a whole lot of it. And one or the other keeps coming on sale. Ive bought a pound of apricots, tomatoes, cherries, strawberries, blueberries, peaches for a dollar each at various times. A pound of tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini for 49 cents each during different sales. And their bulk foods section is amazing too.. theyve got sale even there!

I come here weekly. What really makes this place special is the employees. The people are so friendly (Mike cut open an exotic melon last time we were there to try and Josh is a super speedy, friendly cashier). Like any grocery store, there have been a few times that I have had some problems (we got home and realized the produce was bad, the cheese I asked the deli to slice "thin" was cut into giant slices, etc) BUT these problems are few and far between and the employees have ALWAYS remedied the problem.

This is a great healthy shop. I like it a lot better than Whole Foods. Their bread selection is awesome! I can get Killer Daves bread, plus all my other favorite breads. I like their selection of apples, because they usually have at least one kind that Ive never heard of before. And, Im an apple connoisseur. The store is very clean. The cashiers arent that friendly, but at least theyre fast. Service has kind of gone downhill ever since the guy with the mustache left.

So we were looking for a place with good produce. This place is it! Great produce and for a great price! We buy the other things we need at other stores since Sprouts is targeted at specific things. But we buy all of our produce here and its amazing stuff! A friend told me they even offer a discount for students on Thursdays. I think were going to come every Thursday now :D
