We absolutely love Shipleys. The people who work here are so nice and the donuts are better than other more "trendy" places weve tried. When some places are a fad this one is a classic. They always have a good selection of donuts. My little one loves the donut holes. He devours these ones and at other places he only eats about 4 of the 12. Ive tried them and they are so soft they melt in your mouth. I usually get the maple bar and have them fill it with Bavarian and the devils food. Chocolate donut filled with chocolate cream thats like pudding. So good! They also have just a glazed chocolate thats good if thats too much for ya. The apple fritters are amazing and the cinnamon twists are nice and light and airy.y husband loves the butterfly rolls and my oldest loves the kolaches. The owner is so sweet and if theyre not packed she always comes out and says hi and sees how everyone is doing. She loves the kids. And we love this place.

Back in mid 60s Houston, it was a big treat for us when our folks took us to Shipleys Donuts. Its great to see that today their donuts are as delicious and fresh as they were 50 years ago. My family, now living in NRH is happy to see that Shipleys Donuts has more locations and is rapidly expanding. My favorites are the cake donuts with chocolate icing and the devils food with chocolate stuffing. Today, their menu offers a variety of items; much more than they did back in Houston. I give them a five star review, as do all ten of my family members. Their customer service crew is knowledgeable and friendly. One commentator complained about being served by a man with a scraggly beard. In my view, that server would have been as clean and friendly as any other food service employee.

Ive been going here for about 6yrs now and ill just say that things are not the same. The employees just stand and stare at you while the line backs up. One guy looks like he was hired off the street somewhere. I dont know about you but a guy with a scraggly beard handling my food.... No thank you! When asked a question the short girl acts as if you committed a crime and inconvenienced her whole year. The only reason I gave two stars is one for the donuts and one for the owners cause they are great people. Maybe help in the donut making industry is a bit scarce but Im sure plenty of people would be happy to take the place of the employees there that obviously dont want to be there.

*** FYI, Incredibly busy donut shop on Sunday mornings. *** Service is friendly, dining area is sort of kept up but usually clean, donuts are good but are probably better tasting to those that have grown up on them. You see, Shipleys Donuts is a staple of the DFW area. Generations of local people have been eating and singing the praises of these donuts. My wife (practically a donut connoisseur) did not grow up on these donuts and feels about the same way I do about the taste. We do agree that its a tasty donut, but not as impressive as the legends talk about so just keep your expectations realistic and enjoy these donuts as they are.

shipleys is the best place to get donuts on a saturday morning when your really craving them....and if somebody doesnt like shipleys im sorry but they have great service and perfect donut ,so....im sorry if you had a bad experiance because I havnt witnessed any kind of problems in the millions of time I go to shipleys ; ) and I would like it if you didnt say bad things about a nice business

Yummy fresh. Great owner. Can take calls for. Take out orders. I get coffee and donuts for my bosses meetings. Cheaper than Starbucks and no one ever complains. Too busy munching on those warm donuts to care that coffee is simple with or with out cream and sugar.

Have made a weekly tradition of visiting Shipley every Sunday for nearly six years. The donuts are always great, the service is fast and courteous and the selection very broad. No other donut shop will do!

Not good. Portions are smaller and quality is not as good as Shipleys from another time. Its unfortunate that cost cutting seems to take priority over quality and portions. I will not be returning.
