Good Books In The Woods is exactly what it calls itself. Good Books. In The Woods. A place off the beaten path where rare and often highly valuable classics and hardcovers have found a temporary home. The place is a maze that -- if I ever had the time -- I suppose I would enter and not be heard from again for days or even weeks. Now, thats just me as an individual... As a business, I have enjoyed partnering with GBITW so much that my artwork remains there displayed on consignment. I absolutely recommend GBITW without reservation to any and all book lovers. If books are your drug...GBITW is the place to binge.

Missed the dog, how ever the owner answered our phone call within three rings, much better than a big brand book store, he had the time co clean up a mess my son did with the dogs water with out a bad attitude, helped my kid find an specific themed book, while helping me even with my thick accent he was patient. As far as the store, it has a good selection of grown ups books, philosophy/religion, science and fiction were the areas i was focused on, with a stumble to the bargain section with interesting titles and took one i would not normally done. My family and i will be back and i will tell my friends about it

When asked for education books, the man at the register acted as if he was insulted and befuddled for such a request! "What do you MEAN by education books?" he asked. When I explained philosophy of education, education by age level, history education, etc, he had NOTHING to offer. "We DONT have textbooks, if thats what you mean." I sought out to find some age appropriate history books without his help, found a couple of possibilities, then decided I didnt want to spend my money there. There are many fine used book stores in the area. GO ELSEWHERE!

Wow, I was surprised to see this. My experience has been very different on the multiple occasions I have frequented this establishment. I have found it a quiet respite to relax that is very different from a big box store. The owners took the time to track down a list of books I was interested in and discussed what makes them collectible. I know they sell general books as well. I hope you give them another try, but thought I would add my 2 cents. I will be going back.

This bookstore is not worth the time if you just want to browse for good books! The main concern seems to be maintaining an image that they only sell rare books. I only found a few shelves of rare books. Other books are overpriced, usually by double the competitors. I wopuld only suggest shopping here if want a specific title that only they seem to have. Be aware, also that you will be greeted by a nervous, barking, medium sized dog upon entering the shop.

This store is hidden in The Woodlands area, but worth the effort to find. Endless rows of books, and the gentleman who runs the store is very nice. I brought my niece in to the store, and he took a lot of time to help her find a specialized book. Very customer-centric. Hard to find good independent book stores like this one - especially one with a cool dog roaming the shelves.

Quaint little house-converted book store that had no shortage of interesting books and rarities. The walls are lined with classic gems and beloved books. I lost myself in the literal maze of bookshelves. Very comfy atmosphere. coffee provided for fellow caffeine enthusiasts. Absolutely loved it! Cant wait to visit again!

This is an excellent little gem! Theres quite a collection of books of all kinds and genres and a nice selection of bargain books as well. Its a cozy place with comfy spots to sit and many rooms to explore. The man working there is quite friendly and is happy to help anyone who needs it. I will definitely be visiting again!

I was a bit uncomfortable with the feeling of entering someones house (the shop is set in a home building) but once I made my way in I was more comfortable. They have an excellent selection and the owner was very helpful in helping me find what I was looking for.
