See pictures! Edit:)update) Eric gave us a post48 hour courtesy text to see how it was healing and if we had any follow up questions. We need more business like this in the world Erick is the most chill, down to earth, respectful guy ever. He treated us so kindly. We went in there after being taken advantage of at another shop off 1604& Babcock. Erick listened, advised, and most of all FINISHED what our original person kept putting off. I will be going back again for myself, and I Highly Recomend The Collective Gallery to anyone reading this review. . Thank you for taking all the stress and terrible feeling we had about our experience before coming to you, and restoring the excitement and happiness of getting a new tattoo. we walked in with a half done outline and walked out with awesome. in the pictures you can even see the ORIGINAL MESSED up outline we left untouched for a apples to apples comparison.

The Collective is the place to go to for tattoos. The artists have a range of styles and techniques that will surely fit the most pickiest of customers (Im super picky). I chose Lefty for his amazing grayscale work but there are two other artists, Eddie and Eric who have some dope color work. If you go to the shop youll see. Theyre drawings and photos are sick. Lefty was able to bring to life my ideas and put them on both paper and my skin. He was polite but straightforward which I really appreciated. Was able to walk me through the process from start to finish (deposit/drawing to post-tattoo care) while still giving realistic expectations. I couldnt be happier. If youre looking for $45 custom back piece then this isnt the place for you. If youre willing to pay for professionalism, experience, and creativity then this is the place for you.

First off I am new to San Antonio and had been on a search for not only a new shop but also an artist I can feel comfortable with, I never believe in just settling. I did the review and distance search and found collective art and tattoo studio. As I walked in to the studio for a visit immediately I was astonished at how clean the shop was. We were greeted by Eric and he was super informative. He was on the same page of our wants and needs and was not pushy. It was also a feeling of mutual respect and not just some guy trying to take my money. So after checking other shops I decided on Eric and the collective art and tattoo studio. His work is amazing, so detailed and clean, what I liked is his vision and input on the piece was more than I had visioned. I even had other artists impressed by his work and ask me where I got it done.

Well me and my friend have visited this place a couple of times and have always had a great time till i went the last time. I decided I wanted to get a soldiers cross and put my drivers name to it, he died of gulf war syndrome a basically rotted from the inside out. It . Certain parts of it werent finished and one of the boots if you look didnt have any outline where as the other boot does the helmet looks jacked up. My artist walked away from doing my ink and went out back with some guy for maybe 15 mins. That day I spent almost 1000.00 dollars and wasnt pleased mine looked like a 100.00 tatt my friends turned out good. Im going elsewhere to get it reworked. The lighter one is while I was still there and the darker one was after it was healed.

Lefty was the artist that did my tattoo and Im far beyond impressed and satisfied. Lefty gave me 110% and ensured that I was taken care of all the way to the time I stepped out of the shop. I was on a short time frame and I requested Lefty to draw and finish this piece as soon as possible. I went in on Saturday and Lefty stayed late to draw my piece after we had talked about it and I returned the next day and was able to finish the tattoo (Sundays are usually Leftys days off). Lefty is not only an amazing artist, but he will take the time to explain to you what he sees in your ideas and make suggestions to guide you to your perfect tattoo. Thank you very much for your time Lefty and the best of luck your freakn awesome!

Ive gotten two tattoos at the Collective and I love them both. Cody was/is my tattoo artist. He is a very talented tattoo artist. If you have crap ideas, he will let you know b/c he wants to make sure you have a badass tattoo at the end of the day. I got a fox and two roses done by Cody and I couldnt be more happier with the work he created. It is beyond my expectations, which is saying something b.c I am an artist as well. I encourage everyone who wants to get a tattoo in SA, to come to the Collective and ask for Cody. Ive had work done by other artists in the past, but none compare to the level of expertise, detail and care that Cody puts in.

The Collective Gallery will always be where I get my tattoos, the atmosphere is so friendly and family-oriented. Each artist is SO passionate about their work and go above and beyond to make sure that what youre getting is exactly what you want. Not only are they fantastic artists, but each one has their own style, which gives you a ton of different options to choose from rather than just going to specialized shops, you can get everything youre looking for here. I would definitely and always reommend this shop to anyone looking for a tattoo, whether it be their first or their 100th. This is, hands down, the best shop in San Antonio.

Im a breast cancer survivor and wanted to cover a surgery scar. Looking at it every day reminded me of all Id been through and all Id lost. I wanted instead to look at my body and see something beautiful. Lefty was incredibly patient with me in coming up with just the right design, he wanted it to be something I would love forever. He was very knowledgeable about how to best work with my scar tissue and he made me feel perfectly comfortable throughout the process. I will recommend Lefty and his shop to anyone whos looking for exceptional talent and top-notch customer service!! Thank you!

I wanted to have a sports memorabilia of my soccer team that I follow religiously. This was my first tattoo experience in San Antonio. With the level of experience the artist had, But Turned out to be one that I not exactly wanted. It was bulky, put on extra shading where I did not wanted. Extra bits and pieces from other previous design that was not part of my original design. Felt like the artist just wanted to get over with for good. Still trying to love it but after a month or so I think I need a make over this tattoo, never forget to mention more time and
