Jonathan was my go to guy when I lived in San Antonio. Several years later, and my ink is still as beautiful as the day he laid it in. I adore that man, he is calm, friendly, and a bit of a goofball, making it easy to relax while there. His lines are clean, neat, and his shading is sublime. The price, for the cleanliness, and skill, just cannot be beaten. He has a steady hand, and I would often doze off while he was working, even when he was doing pieces that were several hours in length. For my twenty-eighth birthday, on a Sunday, I brought in fried chicken and cupcakes for us all to munch on before we got down to work, because, like I said, these guys are awesome. If youve got an extensive piece you want done, schedule it for a Sunday - it gets them business on a slow day, and theyre able to take their time, and do a d**n good job. Also, the work he did on my husbands chest is large and good too, and Ive seen a great deal of his customers come back for more, and hold out for him above some of the others. Now, dont get me wrong, the others are good, but Jons real good. Aldolfo runs a good, tight ship, with fair prices, and skilled artists - both piercers and tattoo artists. If youre thinking about getting something a little different, theyll work with you, and if you select something from their repitoire of other art, theyll help you figure out how to change it and make it unique to you. AND they wont charge you an arm and a leg for it. For some, sure, its a bit of a drive to go up to the Bandera/Golds Gym one, but that one doesnt get as packed and such as the other one, which is part of why I preferred it, even when living across town from it. So - just, do yourself a favour - and go there.

Ive gone here for 2 tattoos and for all my piercings and never had a bad experience until I got my tongue pierced. Usually the older man Pierces me but he wasnt there so a younger heavy set man pierced me and he was not gentle at all and he messed up the first time and took out the bar and repierced my tongue which resulted in a huge hole at the tip of my tongue (I got snake eyes) which he said would heal in 2 weeks but that didnt happen. you could clearly see the bar on the tip of my tongue. I went back to talk to the older man and he told me he would redo it for free In 2 weeks to give it time to heal, which is what the other guy shouldve done instead of just going ahead and piercing it again (not to mention while he was preparing my tongue to repierce it I caught him checking my ass out in the big mirror in the room and he got super close to me when repiercing it and I felt him on my leg) I went back 2 weeks later and the older man wasnt there but a lady was there and she pierced my tongue. She was so much better and gentler than the other person. I had already heard that the younger man wasnt a very good piercer, my coworker went and got her nose pierced and she said he was yanking on her nose and just wasnt gentle at all. Ill still go to them for piercings and tattoos just as long as that guy isnt the one doing it.

Not sure why Shannon M has a grudge against Frank but I disagree with her completely. I am from Florida and only in town for a week. I finally decided to get my first tatoo while in town. The art / artists are what brought me to Absolute Tattoo. I was immediately greeted by Frank the manager when I walked through the door. The shop was clean and he was friendly and very professional in guiding me through the process. He showed me some of the Angels work and I was impressed by the quality and attention to detail. In addition Frank showed me some of his work and I was very impressed. I am a fan! Angel took my idea, improved it and did his magic. He is a true "artist". He made me feel at ease and was very easy to get along with. The several hours I was there went by very quickly. When he was dione it was better than I imagined. I cant say enough about his work. He is an artist! When I visit San Antonio again I will bring my wife to Absolute Tattoo to have Angel work his magic on her. If Frank can talk her into his specialty more power to him. Thanks Again!

First, my girlfriend wanted to get a tongue piercing. We googled places and read the reviews here, (one three weeks ago) saying that it was a great place to get a piercing and a tattoo. We went to the shop, and was greeted by an older guy. No problems. Pricing is fair and same day service was adequate. But the quality of the piercing was beyond low. The older guy was inappropriate about sexual jokes and puns he was insinuating, being an older guy and my girlfriend is 18, 2 days ago is very inappropriate when he has his hands in her mouth. We understand good humor, but you can only make 15 sexual jokes in 10 minutes before we get uncomfortable. The most absolute problem with this place was that he pierced her tongue one time, so off center to her tongue that it is noticeable across the room. He then instantly told us that the clamp slipped and he was sorry but had to pierce it again. He put two completely separate holes in her tongue. Our experience with the shop was terrible. We wont be going back.

I got my first (other than earlobes) piercing nearly two weeks ago- an industrial, done by Kat. I have to say, I was planning on getting a couple of tattoos and more piercings, and you guys have a customer for life! I walked in and was pierced and out the door in less than 15 minutes. Kat was very professional and made sure to walk me through the process when I told her this was my first piercing. She made the process as painless as possible, both literally and figuratively. I didnt get his name, but there was a very nice gentleman consulting a couple on their tattoos and was also being very professional and friendly with them, giving them advice on font, how the tattoo might look if they did one thing rather than the other, etc. As someone scoping out places to get their first tattoo as well, this was extremely comforting to see. Ill be seeing you guys again soon!

I went to Absolute Tattoo sometime in March to start stretching my ears. And thats when I met Kat. She was very pregnant at the time but she really took the time to tell me about the stretching process. She took me to the back room and explained everything she was going to do. After she stretched my ears to a 12g she explained how to take care of them and what to expect. I kept going back to stretch and get jewelry. I went in on Friday the 25th and wanted to get pierced. Of course I called ahead to make sure she was there and she was. She pierced my 2nd forward helix and tragus. As usual she was awesome and she has a customer for any future piercings. Thanks KAT ☠️
