Remember as a kid when your parents would let you stay in the toy aisle of the grocery store and it was like a kids paradise? Parents would be getting the grocery stuff and they knew you would be fixed to that great kid aisle of goodies. Green army men, cowboy six shooters, play doh and more. Well, imagine that memory multiplied by a thousand and thats what its like shopping at Tex-Cap. So much to choose inventory to choose from. Bicycle lights, sunglasses, kids toys, wallets, and more. So much variety and at an affordable price. Why do I keep coming back? The people are helpful and friendly, the prices affordable and they have stuff for sale that I didnt even know I wanted until I spotted them in their racks and bins. Oh, its not the same stuff all year long. They have seasonal changes. Fiesta stuff during fiesta, Easter baskets during the Easter season, tons of stuff to choose for during the Christmas holidays too. In the past, Ive even bought an insulated igloo type carrier with sling to carry stuff for a personal picnic in the park. I love this place and I have no doubt you will too. Support small business as often as you are able.

I have been here many times and always have a great experience. Always great customer service. I totally understand the kid’s policy. Its not a toy store it a wholesale warehouse with lots of inventory. The owners are always friendly and helpful. They have great toys and decorations for fiesta and Easter and all other holidays too. You can’t beat the prices. Don’t go downtown and pay a lot for the toys, lights halos, wreaths, etc. that they are selling during fiesta when you can buy the same thing here a whole lot cheaper. Don’t let a couple of negative reviews keep you from discovering this awesome place. You will not be disappointed. The prices and selection are awesome. If you are a teacher or business that buys decorations and gifts for your students, this is the place to check out. This is a small business and it’s always good supporting the small businesses in San Antonio. Please support small businesses.

Their policy is ridiculous! The lady was waiting for me to walk in to tell me "can your BABY wait outside because no kids are allowed in the store" I offered to place my baby in a stroller and she still said no. She was extremely rude, and what kind of baby hating person tells someone to leave their BABY outside alone? I wont be coming back to this store, Ill spend my money somewhere else.

This store is awesome! If you havent been there youre really missing out. We got all the cool light ups today for Fiesta at such affordable prices. I couldnt take my kids because its considered a wholesale warehouse, but that doesnt bother me, if I can save that much money during Fiesta their grandma can watch them while I shop, lol...we are so ready for Fiesta I cant wait!

Frankly, cannot make a fair evaluation of selection, inventory or price but I can comment on policy. I visited on an off day with my daughter and was not aware until i got there and saw a sign on their door that they do not allow kids in the store. website doesnt mention this. Employees were not rude but deferred to "policy". Correct, no kids allowed in a toy store.

This place disrespects our Vietnam Veterans it was the worst treatment my father has ever received...you wouldnt expect this treatment from the owner...but like he told my dad he didnt need our money...if it wasnt for my dads sacrifice he wouldnt have the priveledge to own a business...not a VETERAN FRIENDLY BUSINESS

Policy has been in place since its founding 20 years ago and is to protect customers and employees. Prices are insane! You can literally walk in with $20 and get something for the whole family! Love this place and keep going back year after year

I buy from you all every year for Fiesta and Easter!!!! I even recommend you guys to my friends!!!!! I know some people may be upset about your "No Kids" policy but it is understandable considering your merchandise. In my opinion it helps.

Probably the most asinine policy these stupid people can have. NO KIDS in a store that has things for KIDS. To make matters worse, they use their kids to help at the register and to help you find things. Just plain stupid.

This store has had this policy since they were on Palo Alto Rd. I see nothing wrong with it they do have their number for ppl that have never visit their store . I love this store n the owners n employees are awesome ppl .

Its a good place but I was not aware that their sales tax is double than normal. They charge a sales tax of $0.50 per $3. Other than that, they do have a decent collection of toys and decorations.
