I found this store while visiting from North Carolina. It was WONDERFUL! They have a great selection of gifts and the diner was so nostalgic. The food was very good and so was the service...each of my 3 visits there that week. My mom is disabled and lives nearby. The staff was very nice and the dining area had plenty of room for my mothers wheelchair. I can call the store and have anything delivered to her; not only prescriptions, but also gifts and yummy things from the diner/bakery. You have got to try the cookies!

I love this store. They have everything you can think of and lots of stuff youve probably forgotten about. The deli has great food and a great atmosphere (yes, they also deliver). The pharmacy is also very convenient and courteous. Their employees are friendly and if youre looking for hard to find items, they either have it or can probably order it for you. They are a registered State of Texas historical site and have been a family-owned, local-community business for over 50 years.

Many, many years ago I walked to this place from Westmoreland and found a backpack with a bald eagle on it. It was black and hot on my back, but that symbol meant someone was always with me. When I was a kid, Ben Franklin was near the Piggly Wiggly at Kiest & Polk where I lived. We did our chores all week to get allowances and spend it at Ben Franklins 5&10 cent store. Its a long kid story about saving, wishing and hoping come Christmas.....

I went to high school with the owners kids and was treated like an absolute junkie, told in a very condescending manner that I was not "known," nor was my Doctor, as if my needs were illigetimate. The food is excellent, but go somewhere that treats customers in a much more humane manner; weather I am known or not I was merely a patron trying to contribute to a known Mom & Pop establishment to stimulate local economy. Save your time & money.

This place has got to have the worst customer service I have ever seen. The owner Dan is extremely rude, and makes you feel like he is rushing you out of the store. Not only that but the prescription prices are way above what I would normally play at Walgreens or CVS and they never seem to have anything in stock. Save yourself the trip and go elsewhere!

The people are always friendly in deli and you are always greeted in a friendly manner when you come in the front door. Food is great every time, havent had one bad experience yet. The lunch rush does fill up the place so I call in my order ahead of time, but there is a nice shop to look around while you wait if you cant get a table right away.

Long time favorite spot for Duncanville residents. Even if you go in just to look around I bet you wont be able to resist the diner. They gave lots of sandwich options and a larege selection if Blue Bell ice cream! Homemade baked goods like pies, cookies and brownies good enough to make adult feel like a kid again.

I used to love coming here. But the prices are starting to get ridiculous and they are always out of everything I want. To top it off they seem to always to get my bread wrong. I order wheatberry bread and they give me wheat.
