The store managed to turn my initial positive impression and almost-certain purchase into a demeaning experience and lost sale. When I visited the store, the salesperson was very friendly and knowledgeable. He found several products that I would have purchased had they been in stock in my size. The salesperson then recommended that I visit the New Balance web site and find 2-3 items that might like because the web site has a larger selection and the items would need to be ordered anyway. He then gave me his card and told me to call him once I had a chance to look online. (My impression as this point: "They dont have my size in stock, but since its a New Balance store, they are able to get what I need. Thats really convenient and helpful, and I appreciate the way the store goes out of its way to please a potential customer.") The next day, I went to the New Balance web site and found a few shoes that appealed to me. I then called the store, but the salesperson I dealt with previously had left for the day. I explained the situation, including the fact that the previous employee had told me to provide a few shoe models that I might be interested in. The new employee informed me that the store did not stock any of the shoe models I mentioned. (My impression at this point: "The second employee isnt nearly as pleasant as the first one, and there seems to be some miscommunication, either between the employees or between the employee I talked to originally and me.") I asked the second employee what he would recommend, and I was treated to a lecture about dishonest customers and grumblings about how expensive it is for the New Balance Store to order shoes from New Balance. Given the attitude of the employee and the whole situation, I decided not to proceed further. (My impression at this point: "The store does not seem particularly interested in earning my business, and some of the employees seem to find customers a nuisance.")

While I went in the door with a good idea of what I wanted, I walked out with something else. The salesman was not great, and never mentioned they offered 1/2 sizes in the shoe I liked (which is rare in womens shoes over size 10). He said "these are deffinitely not too big", but the next day when I wore them, they felt like clown shoes and even made a hollow noise when I walked! So, I called and they exchanged them for a smaller size, and made it right. The other salesman was quite friendly, and I will be back, just with the knowledge that I should not always expect an expert on duty, even if the store is in the high class Preston Center. The manager Bill was willing to go the extra mile to make me happy, and that will get the store a return customer!

While visiting in Dallas, after reading Zacks review I went to the DFW store to give them a try. I have extremly flat feet problems and were needing relief. Arriving at the store they were busy and my first thought was,I have reached another dead end. Thought they would just try to sell me a pair of shoes to get me out the door and to the next customer. Christine also helped me giving me personel attention for over one hour, and was never in a hurry to get rid of me. I am now totally sold on New Balance shoes, not just because of Christines help but the shoes and insoles I purchasd have helped my feet so much I can walk without the pain and discomfort I have had for years .I NOW HAVE HAPPY FEET!! Thank you Christine.

The best service ever. Im looking for a pair of shoes which they dont have in the store. The guy (lol I forget his name...) is really kindly help me to order it from on line shop and give me a phone call when my shoes are delivered. The most important thing is I have no idea what exactly my shoes size is (my very first time to buy New Balance), but they give me the same category ones (not the right color I want) to try on. Really really NICE service. Actually I went to the other New Balance store first, and they just answered me they dont have it. So they lost the money, the customer.

After calling other stores in the DFW area who didnt answer the phone. I got Christine at the Northwest Prkwy store and her personality and great phone skills completely changed my mood from an angry size 16 6E shoe wearer who was just trying to find the availability of that size without driving around North Texas. Even though the shoes have to be ordered, Her willingness to help and personal approach to solving my delima was so nice , that I dont mind the wait for ordering of the shoes I need. If you are ever in the store give a SHOUTOUT to this SUPERSTAR OF A SALES PERSON

I caught a bus and a train in the rain to get to this specific New Balance store and I wasnt disappointed! The sales associate, I believe his name was Mark, that waited on me treated me like a long lost brother. It was almost scary - lol. He made sure I got the right sized shoe, I was looking for trail boots because of the cold weather, and that the fit was just right. I walked in, not knowing what to expect, and left with the right boots, in the right size and a new best friend. I highly recommend this New Balance store for their excellent friendly customer service.

Everyone in the store is so courteous, helpful, professional, and takes individual care of all their customers. You can tell they love their career at our neighborhood New Balance store. It is a pleasure to buy all my New Balance shoes and clothing for my family at this boutique sporting store. I also love the convenience of being able to drive right up to the store and get top notch service. I really appreciate their philanthropic support of all the community charities in which they are asked to give of their time and money.

I have been a customer of this store for many years. I dont live nearby, so I only go in two or three times a year, and yet I have never failed to be well-cared for by the friendly, knowledgeable staff. On the one and only time that I went home with a pair of shoes that failed to make me happy, an exchange was quickly orchestrated by mail at their expense! After literally dozens of pairs of New Balance shoes, I am pleased to heartily recommend this as the best possible source for the very best shoes!

Went in today to browse and actually try on after looking at the website for a few weeks. Ive owned several pairs of New Balance, so this wasnt my first go around except into specifically a New Balance store. Patti, the owner, was extremely knowledgable and helpful in finding the right shoe for my needs and figuring out Ive been wearing the wrong shoe (picked by me of course) for the longest. I look forward to my new balance in my New Balance shoes.

Oh New Balance do i love you. My wife turned me on to these shoes coming from Boston. I dont want to wear anything else. If you have not had the new balance experience you need to go. Their staff actually know their stuff and put you in shoes that are perfect for you and how you run or walk. Make sure you get the padded insoles which are worth every penny.
