I went to TSO today to get my eye exam done. The place is very nice and inviting, I felt right at home. The staff was very helpful and patient with me. The doctor explained the different types of contacts available and recommended what he thought would work best for me. When it was time to choose my frames, Kayla went around the store suggesting frames that she thought would look good on me. I couldnt make a decision between two pairs so other employees helped. I thought that was so cool how they all got involved. I recommend TSO for their friendly service, knowledgeable staff and great selection. :)

As for Dr. Nguyen, she was the very best one. I was happy with the service I received. As for the Texas State Optical, the place is a complete ripoff. Just to change my lenses on my existing frames, the place asked for $200. With frames, be ready to spend at least $400 excluding eye exam. Go to online dealers and save bunch of money. I ended up using Walmart with few more days delivery. But, trying the get your lenses in a day or so, does not supposed to be this expensive. Seem like they are exploting. This is your job and you dont need to charge arm and a leg to do what your supposed to do.

I had an eye hemorrhage, after waiting 30 min. past my appointment time, I was pressed for time and asked the eye Dr to skip the glaucoma test and other non essential tests and just look at my eye. He acted very unprofessional and responded rudely that if I didnt let him do his job " fine " he could skip those tests. He seemed genuinely upset during the entire exam that I didnt want air blown on my already aching eye and lights shone in an already sensitive eye. I think he needs to be on the other side of the exam table just once to gain a little perspective.

My wife and I have been seen at this TSO for 2 years now and Dr. Nguyen has been great! She makes sure that she explains everything to us, regarding the health of our eyes. The girls in the optical are very helpful and did a wonderful job of explaining how progressive lenses worked and fit me into the perfect pair of glasses. I have had trouble finding frames that fit right and they had a whole collection that I could choose from as opposed to just 1 or 2 frames for the bigger guys. I will continue going to Dr. Nguyen as long as she is in the area!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Ive been going there for my eye exam and contacts for about 3 years now. Every time I go there the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have just gotten some new machines as well; I thought the ones they had were fine (they definitely werent that old and seemed to be current tech.), but these new machines are cutting edge. As i mention, everyone from the staff at the desk to the Doctor is friendly and always knows what they are talking about. I definitely recommend going here.

Ive had nothing but wonderful experiences here for 3 years now. Everyone has been super helpful, courteous and always made me feel that they know what theyre doing. Customer service is important to me and they have always met my expectations. Today, Andrea C. took it to a new level. I travel quite a bit and she made sure I would have my new prescription even though I was out of state. That level of service is hard to find now days. They will be my continued choice as long as that level of service is given. Thank you Andrea!!

Buyer beware! Double check what you paid for. My insurance has specific rates that TSO can bill for, but they overcharged me twice beyond what insurance allowed so make sure you look at your receipt. I agreed to pay half the bill up front and the other half when I picked up glasses. I signed charge receipt which reflected half of the total bill. I get a voicemail saying "even though the receipt said they charged me half the bill somehow they managed to charge my card the full amount." What a scam.

I had a great experience at TSO. The eye doctor listened to me and answered all of my questions. Everyone was very nice in general but what I really appreciated was the help I got looking for new glasses. Kasey helped me with choosing my new glasses. I asked her to be brutally honest and she was(in the kindest way) and I am thankful because it is the first time that I feel like I am getting a pair of glasses that look good on me and I will not spend the next year regretting them.

I only wear my glasses morning/nights when contacts are out, but they are still important since my uncorrected vision is so poor. I brought my quite-old eyeglasses with a broken temple piece here after trying unsuccessfully to get them repaired at an optometry shop located inside a large store. At this TSO they not only replaced the part with a well-matched replacement that they found, but did so at no charge! Thank you!!

I had a really bad experience at this TSO! The eye doctor did not even bother to try to answer any of my questions. I saw her for about 10 minutes. If she wants people to keep coming back and referring her to their friends and family, she should try harder, listen to her patients, to their concerns regarding their vision and try to answer their questions!!! Not only sell they theirs crappy glasses and eye pictures!

I came in to have my eye exam and choose some Eyewear. They got me in fairly quickly. Eli was friendly and knowledgeable. He even made me laugh. Dr. Hatridge was very nice and professional. The staff was helpful and friendly. I really luv the selection of Eyewear. They have a nice range of designers to choose from. I will continue to come back every year.

My experience was all positive! I went in for a medical issue as opposed to a routine eye exam. They gave me a very quick appointment. When I got there everyone was very friendly and helpful, and I did not have to wait long. I saw Dr. Nathan Hatridge and was pleased with the quality of the exam, as well as my positive results. I will definitely go there again!

Scheduling was easy, & they were able to see me the same week. Front office staff was super sweet and greeted me as soon as I walked through the door.
