We have taken are dog here twice for simply nail clipping, the first time the lady was very nice and my husband was able to hold our lab who weights 60lbs because the tables where full. which worked out well minus she did not take much off, which I understand not wanting to hurt the dog. This review however is based on are latest visit, we went in two days ago it was very dead and the two young girls where sitting behind counter and very nice. However they need a lot more experience with how to handle animals. They wanted to place our lab on one of the tables, which I informed them he may be hard to control as my dog does not like being anyway from me. Once on the table I watch them struggle to clip his nails, there idea was to keep feeding him treats to settle him down. They attempted this a little to late, while clipping my labs front left foot she attempted to hold his paw in an unnatural position which causes injuries to animals. Both employees had no clue on how to handle animals, nor is that a good practice. Seeing how any real pet groomer knows this is a big no. Its been two days and he is still limping, if you can not trust someone to clip nails how can you trust them to be responsible for you pet while you drop them off. Which we do not because again our lab has to be around me.

I applied for a pet stylist job at Petco in Conroe Texas, I applied for the job back in May and here we are in August and I just now got an email saying that they are not going to hire me for the job, my interview was conducted by two really young men they seemed nice Im guessing they were management, I called to check my application and was told several times that they were still working on it and that they were trying to get me hired on and they liked my application and the interview went well. I have waited for months for some kind of answer, during the time I waited for my answer I was in the process of opening my own salon and Im very glad I did! I dont think I could work in a store like the petco in Conroe Texas the store is filthy everyone that works there is very young and they all seem to walk around in a daze. It was like walking onto the set of dazed and confused when I went in for my interview. Petco really needs to drug test employees. Not very impressed with the management or how they handled my job position.

I love this store they have everything i need for my Rex the employees are always willing to help out and know about the different products which is great because i had to take Rex here to get groomed before coming to my apt and he needed flea medicine i had no idea what to get and one of the employees helped explain the different types and which would be best to use and pointed out which kind i can use on my furniture to prevent fleas so thank you guys plus the groomers are always nice and informative the store is very well laid out which i love i can always find what i need and be out in a flash when im in a hurry keep it up guys :)

We called the store and asked if they have any crickets they said yes,we said we need five hundred they said they have as many as we need it,when we got there grants you we drove from Cleveland to Conroe to petco because they said the had them, when we got not so they verily had a hunder and they did not look good and the Of rest the bugs they had were sad looking and dying to just like their live plants sad and dying to and their service were poor too dont recommend buying live bugs from them

Had one of the best experiences today. A young man name Chris was very informative of the my dogs food and new the formula being used. He was in the middle of something else stopped to help me, and carried my bag to the front, checked me out, walked the bag to my car and even got the door for me. So awesome be treated so wonderfully by someone that clearly loves their job! Wish more places I went had people like him!

Melissa was rude and didnt seem to enjoy her job. Ive been there once before and had a great experience. Not so much this time. You want your pet to feel welcome and special...neither of which I received from Melissa. I noted the other reviews regarding Melissa and wonder why shes still employed at Petco. GET RID OF HER!!!

Just bought a new puppy for my daughter and stopped in to get some supplies. The staff was amazing, two of them helped us and were very informative and polite. Definitely a great experience and exceptional customer service here. Will continue to come to this specific location.

They never have medium to large rats when they say they will. We have gone multiple times every week for three weeks. I even asked if they could take my name and number and hold one for me so we can feed our snake and they said sorry they cant do that. Ridiculous if you ask me.

We take our 2 dogs here for grooming often. The groomers are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The store is well stocked with all kinds of pet related merchandise, from birds to snakes and everything in between.

I came in to buy a cone collar for my dog. They showed me to the aisle, and when I asked for their recommendation, they suggested the most popular style, instead of the most expensive. Fast and friendly checkout too!

Seems that anytime I go to this store there is only one check out lane open and at least three people in line. I only go to this store because PetsMart does not carry the variety of food my sons turtle eats.

Drove all the way from The Woodlands because it said open till 8pm.....they closed at 7pm and workers standing outside smoking could have cared less that hours where wrong! Bad customer service!

Good luck getting help in small animals, even when you ask the cashier to page someone. Expect to stand there waiting while they help everyone else first.

Great grooming department! Homemade dog treats bar...our dogs favorite stop. Reasonable prices and a friendly staff.
