KIA MOTORS i first had my car towed to Community Kia on 3/20/2015 @ 7am because when i went to start it the car only turned on dash lights. I told Sammy that i took the car to the store for groceries and that it was running GREAT like it ALWAYS did and that i backed up to the garage. When i went to move the car into the garage later that night only the dash lights come on. I did some of my own research and found that the computer only needed to be relearned and it was a software issue. i wasnt even contacted by kia until 5:30 pm on 3/20/2015 and was told my PCM wasnt communicating with the GDS system and that i would have to replace my PCM. i was told to go to enterprise and rent A CAR and they would reimburse me up to $25 a day. I was told that the part would have to be ordered and that is would be sent over night and received by 3/23/2015. On that day i again never received a call from the dealership so i called at 4pm to see if my car was now ready and was told that the part never showed up and might now be lost and that we would have to wait to see if it comes with the shipment the next day. Again on the next day 3/24/2015 & 3/25/2015 i was told the part still did not show up and they dont know where it is even at now. This started to make me believe i was not being told the truth about my car and what they were actually doing to it. I called management on 3/25/2015 and told them that i was getting impatient because i didnt feel i was getting truthful info and the manager himself told me he saw them working on my car that day before because it was on the lift.( my car sticks out from other optimas b/c of the rims) I asked hi....well why would they be working on my car if they didnt even have the part to fix it???? I honest dont believe my PCM had failed at all and that they were trying to find a way to blame the issue on my car on me because of aftermarket exhaust, cold air intake and LED lights so that it wouldnt be a warranty because we all know thats how the service dept gets commissions checks. The next day on 3/26/2015 i was told that they would have to reorder the PCM and it would be ready till 3/30/2015. On 3/30/2015 i went to return my rental at enterprise and was told kia wasnt going to pay but only $20 a day now because i didnt rent a KIA. I was furious because it was never once specified the make of car i had to rent. I noticed that my car wasnt having the power it had prior to my car going in for service. I also noticed after picking up the car that the service manager lied on the invoice by stating that i told him my car was running funny on my way to the store and he put Service IN Date as 3/26/2015. it was towed under warranty and the tow company picked up and dropped off my car to them on 3/20/2015. Im am now starting to believe that the dealership service dept hasnt been very honest with me about my car even more then I already did. Sammy told me computer shows everything is ok so we are done here and if you dont like that answer go to another dealership. A breather hose to the transaxle valve body cover not being connected properly after being in your service for is certainly a big deal and because I had to figure out on my own what it was there is probably so much unseen engine problems and my cars future is unkown :-( I went from loving my optima to hating to even think about it anymore. I just want to sell it and go buy a Subaru bc at least I know that company cares about customer service Contacted my State Attorney General, BBB Auto line and wrote a formal complaint to kia

I made the trek to Community Kia in Baytown from across town after receiving a good internet sales quote from Shana on a Kia Optima. The test drive went well and my saleperson Traci was very nice to work with. It wasnt until I started talking numbers when it all went south (doesnt it always). The Sales Manager started off with a decent quote but he was adamant that the price only was valid for a 3 year lease, limited miles, and a balloon payment at the end of the lease. I contradicted that I was not interested in leasing and he rebutted that it was not a lease by throwing out terms like balloon payment, residual value, etc. - A LEASE! The encounter turned around when he offered to let me take the car home for the weekend to test drive and make a decision which I was more than happy to do. Obviously at that point the car had been test driven numerous times or loaned out as it had 675 miles on the odometer. I drove the car for the weekend fully expecting to return to purchase it on Monday as it is a nice vehicle. The price negotiation began again when I returned with a different General Manager, this time straying away from the original price quote because I wanted to finance the car without the lease. All of the sudden the price jumped another $500. To wrap up this review, I thought we had agreed upon a price that was satisfactory to me, the numbers were configured to exceed my price request for a drive out total (drive out = total price of the car inc. all taxes, title, doc. fee, minus rebates; obviously not to this dealership, it means a financed price plus a TTL down payment), and I canceled the deal after going round and round with the General Manager about how I had been mislead. All of the headaches from shopping at Community Kia along with the numerous drives I had to make out made this car buying experience the worst I have EVER had! Good riddance and good luck to the person who buys the car with 900 miles already on it.

Very long story short, I would not recommend Community Kia and their group of dealerships. The used car department at Community Kia is run by a person who is dishonest, expects dishonesty from his salesmen, and will hide issues with cars when selling to you. We bought a used minivan on a Saturday, on Sunday the check engine light came on. When we left the dealership Saturday we had to go to their Honda dealership to have the Navigation unlocked. How does it lock? It locks by unplugging the battery. When you unplug a battery, it clears any computer codes, and turns off the check engine light. When we called to see if they would do the honest thing and take care of it, we were "done a favor" and they paid for parts, leaving us with a $500 labor bill. My advice, just steer clear of Community dealerships. If you want work done on your Honda, go talk to Paul. He is a wonderful guy, who will do his best to give you the quality customer service you deserve in an honest manner. He is the ONLY person I would do business with in that group of dealerships, I will, however, never be going back to any of those dealerships simply because of how we were handled by the people at Community Kia. Go search for another dealership, they arent worth your time or money. Also, go look at other reviews on other sites, its an eye opening experience, one I wish Id had before walking into Community Kia.
