I legit went to the gym yesterday in preparation for Cow Tipping Creamery today, and boy it was worth every minute on that elliptical. CTC is honestly my favorite pick-me-up on a bad day, treat for the celebration of good news, and honestly, if I am alive, there is no reason to not have CTC. Its delicious. The fact that I live only four blocks away from Rancho Rio trailer park is dangerous. I havent had anything that I havent thoroughly enjoyed and devoured. My ultimate favorite is the Red Velvet Cake Shake. Picture this, a slice of red velvet cake, frosting, and soft serve all blended up real nice in a blender. Its not overly sweet but rather the perfect ratio of guilty pleasure and I really dont care. You can actually taste the cake in the shake which is so delicious. The 12 ounce size is more than enough for one person - I would actually suggest sharing, if youre willing. The Gimme Smore Stacker is also to die for - definitely my favorite stacker on the menu. All of their stackers are basically like sundaes, but each item is its own layer so you really get a little bit of everything in each bite. This particular one has chocolate, marshmallows, graham crackers, and of course, your choice of soft serve. Its pretty much like a smore but with the addition of their soft serve and the chocolate sauce they use is to die for. The waffle cones are a good option if youre looking for something familiar with an added pizazz. Their homemade waffle cones are delicious and Im a huge fan of many of their soft serve flavors. Yes, everyone loves vanilla, but try something else! Their horchata and specialty chocolate flavors are delicious. And dont skimp on the toppings! They literally have everything/anything you can think of - Ghiradelli chocolate sauces, fruit, nuts, oreos, pretzels, cornflakes, other things that Ive never even heard of such as honey dust, and so much more. Also, the people are SO NICE!! Seriously. So yes, they might recognize me, but that just makes me love them more. They really want to make the customer happy and care about what the customer thinks of their items. And yes, some of the shakes/stackers might be a bit pricey ($4-6), but I promise you its so worth it. Skip your morning coffee and opt for CTC instead. You wont regret it.

I love ice cream. All kinds really, whether it’s topped with hot fudge from a local chain, vegan from a Thai restaurant, sandwiched between two (or 6) cookies, or Italian like gelato. This is a tale of ice cream served softly. A newly relocated food truck is filling cups and cones with soft serve and then mixed, swirled, topped, or blended in some incredible combinations. I present to you, Cow Tipping Creamery. After several months on the outskirts of Austin, Cow Tipping Creamery has set up in the new Rancho Rio Eatery food trailer park on UT campus. With the likes of The Mighty Cone, Short Bus Subs, and Wurst Tex, they’re in good company. The menu is a little overwhelming at first. First you need to decide on the architecture: Cup, Cone, Shake, or Stacker. I tried to decipher the menu while waiting, but before I knew it the guy in the window was asking what I wanted. In a moment of panic my eye jumped to the top right corner of the menu and I shouted “Fluffer Nutter!” And I’m so glad I did. The only other details needed are size and a choice of the two soft serve flavors on offer. I went with vanilla, which meant I just ordered layers of vanilla ice cream, peanut butter sauce, bananas, Nutter Butters, marshmallows, and whipped cream. Every flavor complimented the others. The best and worst decision I made was to get a small cup, because you could’ve put this in a Big Gulp and I would have licked it clean. Next time is going to be tough. Right now I’m eyeing the S’more version of the Fluffer Nutter, but the shakes sound incredible and I’m having a hard time ignoring a homemade waffle cone. It may just mean multiple visits… or more realistically going for a really long run beforehand. You can find them Tuesday thru Saturday from 1pm til 9pm, making it perfect for both lunch and dinner desserts.

When I went inside, I was excited. When I realised they only had three flavours of soft serve it started going downhill. I dont really write reviews often, but this place deserves one. List of upsetting things: -The lady who took my order was a little rude. -She kinda rushed me and my boyfriend when we were ordering and though there was a line forming, I feel I wasnt really valued as a customer. - When I looked over the counter to where another lady was preparing said soft serve, I noticed everything was eskew. Messy and gross. Sprinkles and toppings everywhere. - The lady putting together the basic soft serve and "stackers" didnt change her gloves out once in the entirety of the time we were there, touching all of the icecreams along the way. Cross contamination of flavours and toppings was evident. - the waffle cone I had was stale and very thin. Maybe an actual container for the cones would work better? - The seating and tables were very uncomfortable. Close together and not very practical. Though it is an incredibly small store, they couldve done better. List of good things: - I gave it two stars because I hate being mean. This was probably the worst tasting soft serve Ive ever had tbh and im sad I spent money on it. -Aesthetically pretty store and icecream. - the price. TL;DR: Rude employee. Even worse icecream. Sad experience. This establishment chooses quantity over quality, without a doubt.

LOVEEEEE at first bite. Ever since the Cow Tipping truck made its way to the new Rio Grande food court... I havent stopped wanting to go (especially since Im living in West Campus and its SO close). The staff have been super friendly every time Ive been there (and... thats more than I can count on two hands). Love the rotating special flavors. I always want to go try them. (Follow them on Facebook for updates on flavors as well as hour changes). Had a lot of the stackers, all of which were delicious. The signature cones are huge!! Tried the Ladies Delight which was really good (sweet and salty, my fave). Also... bacon as a topping? Heck yes! So many unique toppings to satisfy everyones needs. I also got to try their new shaved ices. Shared the patbingsu with 2 other friends and it was pretty good. The only complaint was that some of the red beans were rock hard, whereas some were softer. A good play off the traditional Korean dessert. Unf, creamy and delicious. I could go for some right now..

Very poor service. The guy at the register seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but there... so strange to have a bitter dude working the counter at an ice cream shop. He interacted with everyone as though they were bothering him for being there. Also, they charged me for my ice cream and then argued that I didnt pay for it... when I showed them the receipt they made my "stacker"- but totally half-assed. They were annoyed but i did my part as the customer- submitted my order and then paid for it. When I finally received it, It was just a swirl of ice cream with a dusting of tea cookies on top. Our friend ordered the same thing and received a beautiful, decadent presentation, but I got the saddest and overpriced cup of ice cream. I tasted my friends ice creams and they were very good, but I dont think Ill be back. It isnt really worth being treated like that.
