on april 12th 2014 my wife and i visited our local save a lot grocery store and purchased an 8 dollar package of pork steaks on sale for 1.39 per lb our actual price was 7.99 we came back home and put the steaks in the refrigerator for our sunday grill out ,sunday i got the steaks out to prepare for our meal and opened the package i noticed some of the meat was green so i trimmed the green out and rinsed the meat thoroughly and the meat stunk of rot,so i called the save a lot store and spoke with AMANDA,she said that without the receipt she could not help me,we have been patrons of save a lot food stores as far back as i can remember,my wife and i raised four children so you can imagine how much we have spent with save a lot.so turned out i couldnt find the receipt but the tag on the package clearly says the meat is good through april 15th 2014,well ,we cant afford another pack of meat this week so i guess we are having just veggies for supper tonight as all our meals are planned because of todays prices.at any rate i just wanted to let everyone know how our local save a lot store takes care of their customers store # 646 shelbyville tennessee.....thanks a lot a AMANDA

The local store is alright when it comes to most of the cashiers and other service people but its my experience, as one who doesnt drive, to always be prepared for a lengthy wait at times. And...and, if there are more people than open registers or cashiers by all means take your iPod and be sure to have Wilson Picketts "Midnight Hour" on repeat. Otherwise good store, friendly staff.

Shorter trip for Beford/Wheel residents. Little higher maybe on some things, but better for the simple needs, travelwise. Mostly store brands, but some name brands available. Overall Google experience, like to help smaller business ,stay in business !
