This tattoo shop is amazing!! Its very modern, clean, organized, with great people (especially Rachel), and did I mentioned CLEANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! My #1 concern with any place is cleanliness, and to my expectations. If its clean it makes me feel comfortable. One day I was online in search for a good tattoo artist...which I have several tattoos and could have easily gone to a previous shop I have visited. For this tattoo, I wanted to actually do some research, because it was for a cover up and I wanted to add watercolors. The name of this place stood out and they are located in my favorite part of town: Midtown. I first looked online for reviews...THANK YOU GOOGLE AND YELP! I also went on their website looking at different artists work. Rachels stood out to me the most. She has a lot of detailed work applying watercolors. Her customers also left amazing comments as well. I inquired about an appointment via web, and Rachel replied back to me within 24 hours. We scheduled a consultation. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled time, and she saw me immediately. I explained to her what I was wanting to do, and she gave me a few suggestions, which I totally loved. A $50 deposit is required to secure your appointment, so I scheduled for the following weekend. I was very nervous (even though I have multiple times) when I arrived. The tattoo shop was looking vibrant and clean as usual. I was there 20 minutes before my appointment (sweating bullets lol). Rachel came in prepared....which is a triple plus for me! I was waiting no time. She made sure I was comfortable, before she started. Even though, it was a painful process I took it very well, and Im thankful that Rachel has a light hand...Ive had previous people with heavy hands do my tattoos. If I decide to get another tattoo (which I am..lol), Rachel will be my go to person. Shes awesome...her work speaks for itself!!!

Very unhappy with my experience. The tattoo doesnt have the same detail as the picture I gave for reference. $100 an hour to sit and feel uncomfortable, as well....not the tattooing process itself but every shop Ive ever been I have felt comfortable and invited. Here I did not feel welcome. No conversation whatsoever. Also a lot of ink missing from the tattoo and color outside of the lines as if a child did it. And I have several tattoos and take great care of them and have never experienced this issue. I expect so much more for $100 an hour...Will NEVER go again and will let everyone know how I feel...UNDERGROUND ART is where its at, yall. Sarah Forbess is an amazing artist...

Walked in for consult and spoke with Ivy. She was very Helpful and friendly. I asked about price and time for an ankle cuff I wanted . She looked at my design and right away gave me an approx price and time. She said she had some free time today after 5pm if I wanted to come back. I came back and she got everything set up. Fresh clean environment with surgically seal tools, just makes you feel good. She put on the stencil then we got to work. She was very open to me pointing things out and quickly corrected what I perceived needed to be. I will post pick tomorrow, thanks Ivy you rock. Go to Inkes you wont be disappointed .

I recently went here to celebrate my 18th birthday. I was getting my very first tattoo which was a treble clef on my wrist. As soon as I walked in I noticed how clean and laid back it was. I had Brent. He was very chill and told me not to worry at all and thats exactly what I did. He also told me which colors would look the best on my skin tone so that I wouldnt look stupid afterwards lol. I really appreciated that. I felt very calm while getting my first tattoo. Im definitely going back for a second one and would recommend this shop to anyone whos getting there first or 100th tattoo!

Only place Ive ever gone, will they will tattoo anyone. Even if they are visibly intoxicated, where they should be declined as customers.The artists never compared tattoos even though they were suppose to be matching. An one tattoo made it somewhat the other is complete gone.. I wouldnt recommend place for the fact of the artist arent there to do actual quality work. They were just in it for the money. An thats not what a tattoo parlor should be.

Awesome experience and artist...was in town for the weekend from south Alabama.. Didnt have an appointment and was able to get in and get a new tattoo...most importantly the artist Brent took some time to listen to my wifes ideas and then put it on paper for her to review...the place was very clean and affordable... I would recommend this place to anyone ...we will definitely be back for more!! Thanks Inked Memphis!!!

My experience was probably the best tattoo experience to date. I went spur of the moment and was able to get seated with Jake in a fairly short amount of time. He took the time to understand what I wanted and then made it his own - which served to enhance my vision for the better. There was great communication, the shop is clean, the artists I met are fabulous, and I am one happily tattooed (again) lady.

This place is absolutely amazing, great people and even better art. My boyfriend and I stopped by while weve been staying in town, both walk ins @ like 9 pm and the owner and Ivy helped us and were so kind and made us both feel comfortable. Free first touch up, definitely going back when in town.

If there was a way to give them 0 stars, I would. The customer service is terrible and they charge $125 per hour. They didnt even greet us when we walked in the door. They acted as if they didnt want us there. I would not advise anyone to go.

I received a nose pricing. It hurt like hell but, the guy that did it made feel comfortable. They use brand new equipment, and they open the wraps right in front of you. I would definitely go back again.

RUDE EMPLOYEES! Scared to tattoo behind the ear. Called for appointment and drove three hours to be told they dont do tattoos behind the ear. What a joke!
