Merry Christmas, Fresh Market, and thanks for casting a bit of a pall on our Christmas celebration. I tried calling the manager to express my disappointment, but unfortunately he was too busy to take my call. Last week my husband and I walked into the Fresh Market to order a crown roast of pork for Christmas. I explained to the guy in the meat department that we wanted the smallest number of ribs possible in order to get a complete circle, and he told me that would be 13. We told him that we wanted to pick it up on Christmas Eve around midday. When we went to pick it up today, the first young man I spoke to checked the list, and asked me, "Are you sure you want 13 ribs? I mean, its going to have to be 14 if you want a full circle." This took me aback, because it implied that he did not have one ready, so I was a bit snippy when I said, give me however many it takes to make it a full circle, and do it now please. After a few minutes the meat department manager walked out and explained to me that someone had already picked up our roast. He even went so far as to show me that my name had been checked off the list as if to imply I was somehow in error. I asked, "Didnt you ask them to present ID or anything?" and he replied huffily that they dont require their customers to prove their identity before picking up their special orders. He then informed me that their supplier had shorted them on pork, so they were unable to give me the crown roast I had ordered. However, they were able to give me another pork roast, one that was a much better cut of meat than what I had ordered. I believe that at one point the words "Im sorry" might have been spoken, but the message that came through to me loud and clear was a) I was ignorant and ordered the wrong number of ribs; b) I somehow screwed up in not picking up my roast soon enough, because if I had been their before they gave it away to someone else I would have received my roast; and c) I was doubly ignorant because I had ordered an inferior cut of meat in the first place. I took my meat and ran, foregoing the additional purchases I was planning to make. Goodbye, Fresh Market, I think I will stick with Kroger in the future for all of my grocery needs. Im obviously not the caliber of clientele youre catering to.

Every time I go to the Fresh Market, the staff is incredibly rude. Dont ask for miso paste there. The staff will be stunned speechless then try to convince you it doesnt exist. Also, to me its not worth it to overpay for groceries just so I can buy them in track lighting...Im not going there again. Id actually rather drive the extra miles to the gourmet store in Memphis or whole foods.

Some decent variety boutique food, but prices are too high and there isnt the fun whole foods atmosphere. Fine for picking up a few specialty items and their produce is good but not good enough value for the rest. Supports Android Pay

Wonderful beef and chicken. I love their $2.99 Chicken Breast special and $2.99 lb ground chuck specials! The meal specials have tought me a lot, too! I love to pick them up on Thursday afternoon!

Produce and meats are good, dry goods fine. Bakery is also good, but food offerings arent the "cleanest" if you are trying to avoid chemicals and additives, even in the fresh baked goods
