Ive visited this place many times growing up and it still is a great place to visit. Once you step outside the little museum and gift shop it feels like you have taken a trip back in time. All of the volunteers and staff dress in the styles of that period in addition to the old buildings and animals. The staff is very friendly. Its a great place that makes learning fun.

Think your life is hard? Time to put it into context.....the home place has about 15 log structures in a small valley...cabins, barns, storage, forge and corrals for the oxen, mules, pigs additionally real live humans work throughout the farm and role play and provide narratives about life and work in the 1850s.
