WestGate is alright for a shopping mall. There were previously complaints about crime activity in the area, but improved security has all but eradicated that problem. The issue now is a general lack of store options. Food options are decent, with new restaurants cycling in fairly frequently. Everything is kept decently clean and in order. As mentioned before, my only real complaint about WestGate is the lack of stores. This issue isnt necessarily the fault of the mall or its management, simply a consequence of market changes. Its a shopping mall: there are stores, a food court, seasonal kiosks, and it gets really crowded during the Christmas season. Considering the next closest mall is Haywood in Greenville, WestGate will usually suffice for those in the Spartanburg area.

Located at a high traffic area. Outdated single floor shopping mall. Parking areas are usually lined up with visible trash. The 2nd floor is a movie theater with no stadium seats that tend to show movies that are a week or two older, although they do have decent priced movie tickets. Not many to choose from when it comes to the food court. Mostly has urban clothing stores and your typical stores like Hot Topics, American Eagle, Cato, Victoria Secret etc. As well as the typical department stores like Sears, JC Penny, and Belk etc.

Mall in a state of clear decline. We have not been here in over 10 years. Stopped to check it out on a rainy Tuesday. Greeted at the door with "No concealed weapons allowed". No security visible, No metal detectors. Not sure what that does for my familys safety or how many thugs will go back to the parking lot after reading the sign. Perhaps I am naive and they all do that? Nice older folks walking around, not a bad experience, lots of overpriced scented candles and sports merchandise. Probably be 10 years before I go back.

Two friends and I drove 68 miles to go to this mall and we didnt make it 50 feet into the mall before a security officer flagged us down. Apparently this mall has a policy where people under 18 arent allowed in the mall after 6pm without their parents. My friends and I are 18 and 19 but one of us forgot our ID so we were escorted out of the mall by two security guards. Terrible mall to treat three adults like that. The whole place seemed a bit run down as well. Will never return to this mall.

There are some really great stores at WestGate such as JCPenny, Hot Topic, Spencers Gifts, Kay Jewelers, Zales, and so many more. Its not huge, but its big enough. Ironically, theres tons of stuff for kids to do there, including two different cookie shops, candy stores, and a very nice baby friendly play area. I take my 3 year old and my 1 year old all the time! They especially love watching the train pass through the mall!

To many kids hanging out that are loud and trying to cause trouble. They go there just to try and get in a fight to act tough. Its a shame that people cant just have a good time anymore. No cwp allowed even though the parking lot has had a lot of crime over the years and unreported thanks to Westgate malls deep pockets to keep it quite. If I go to the mall its early in the mornings when the thugs are still sleeping.

over the last two years we have spent thousands of dollars in this mall. However, tonight my daughter went to exchange her ugg boots at Dillards and was told she could not come in that stupid mall past 6 she is 17 years old and was not allowed in. THIS IS REDICULOUS YOU CAN BET WE WILL BE GOING TO GREENVILLE FROM NOW ON THIS IS THE MOST REDICULOUS THINGS I HAVE EVER HEARD OF...............

Great place for thugs to hang out and mug people. Plus since its a gun-free zone, they dont have to worry about being shot for taking your wallet and car keys. Plenty of empty stores to walk around and look at if youre into that. When McDonalds along with half of the restaurants close down in the food court, and the best restaurant still left is Leroys Wing Shack, what does that tell you?

This my friends is a Mall. A huge indoor conglomeration of stores that you generally expect to pay more for their merchandise because its in a Mall. Personally if Im going to pay more for something Im going to do so because its more valuable, not because I could walk through throngs of people and buy overpriced food and drinks between stores without going outside.

Im not big on crowds and I always get dirty looks from the employees in this place but I do like to rummage through the clearance sections for clothes, so I guess Im in the wrong for being broke all the time. Got some neat stores inside that come and go, I love when a shop pops up and goes out of business immediately. I miss suncoast. :c

I honestly cant understand how this mall is still open. After working there for years and seeing management that never cared about their tenants, I cant imagine why stores stay there. It seems (with a few exceptions) that instead of big name stores, they would rather have local flea market type stores peddling ripoff merchandise.

Dirty Mall! The food court was trashed, no clean tables to sit at. The public restrooms are clogged. I told a custodian and he said it will get fix when the mall closes. Smh so the toilets would remain unavailable for several more hours. The walls of stores had food stains, gum stuck on rails. Disgusting.

This is an aging mall with a lot of foot traffic. Not bad, but needs to be updated. Saturday nights are still questionable, but not as bad as previously. They have changed rules about dropping off minors and are thankfully enforcing them. It has helped decrease the thuggish atmosphere on the weekends.

Needs to torn down and redone. Its a shame we are known as the hub city, everyone passes us by to get to Greenville, Gaffney, to shop. Its extremely outdated and practically a flea market, except for the anchor stores. HILLCREST had the foresight decades ago to do this what is taking Wastgate so long?

There are only a few stores that I go in Westgate Mall now. Mainly Belk because it is affordable. A lot of the stores have closed down recently and the mall has seemed to go down with it. Hopefully new stores will come in soon and revamp the mall, because I did use to love going there.

Slowing becoming a pleasant place to shop. I would love to see GAP, DSW, Off Broadway Shoes, CK and White House Black Market or even Olive Ole. There is still a lot of idle space at the mall. Vans & Lush would probably do really well there. Books a Million could offer a quiet place.

Its about a 1/4th of the size of Haywood Mall in Greenville. Better than it was in the early 90s, which we referred to it as "The Hall". But, if you want more options, just take the 25-30 min drive to Greenville. I generally only come here for Bed, Bath and Beyond or Red Bowl.

Its pretty dead considering its location and apparently their was crime activity in the area but I cant see how thats possible when the door says gun free zone! Its almost as if the criminals cant read.... But I guess its OK now since the cops are watching your every move now.
