As far as this place as a grocery store its awful theyre always out of things theyre never in stock when you want something and things that you would think that oh Ill go to the local co-op and get something like butter or milk just Staples even a loaf of bread are so severely overpriced that its not even worth it you can go to the neighborhood Walmart store and I live downtown I love downtown and I just dont understand why it is a co-op they should have just put a sensibly priced convenience store that sold groceries there and at least would have made more sense but as far as my reading goes it is a zero get on the ball please. Youre not in some overly saturated market like Asheville or Greenville please just placate to your audience and not try to make the audience placate to your store business 101

This place makes me want to move to Spartanburg! I walked across the street for lunch today unsure of what Id find. I was pleased to find a small grocery store stocked with a great selection of hard to find spices and plenty healthy food options. Im pretty sure THIS is what Whole Foods wanted to be. Its a great place serving great food. I tried one of the sandwiches and a cold root beer. The staff is obviously still finding their groove which is to be expected. Still, even having to work a little harder than expected to get the attention of the deli staff, its WORTH IT. Great food. Thanks for brining things like this to Spartanburg.

As a previous employee, I want to brag on this business. Hub city coop is exactly the operation that Spartanburg needed. Garland McQueen, has worked harder than humanly possible to get all of this together. Thanks to Garland, Hub City Coops product mix contains top of the line, local and/or organic, food as well as a kitchen where employees are taught to recognize and understand health conscious guest needs while continuing to produce healthy gourmet food day in and day out. My advice, check it out next time you visit Downtown Spartanburg.

I live 30 miles north of Spartanburg but enjoy stopping into Hub City Co-op when Im downtown. The selections arent overwhelming but all seem to be healthy and in some cases locally sourced. Ive never had lunch but what I saw today made my mouth water! The staff is courteous and helpful. Theres a decent amount of parking and the location cant be beat.

I like having the co-op in our downtown area, major convenience. I really like their selection of local wellness products & natural supplements. I wish the produce area could be better stocked but theyve usually got what Im looking for. Bulk area is definitely the way to go, so much cheaper than buying something pre-packaged!
