Very unprofessional, find another jeweler! I have had several watches serviced at Hanchey in the past and never ran into any issues. Recently I brought in an expensive watch to have sized. They quoted me one price and then charged me another. It was a very simple adjustment, but since it was an expensive watch they decided to take advantage of me. To make things worse, they were rude about it. In fact, they questioned if my watches were "mail order." Maybe they thought this because they only carry inexpensive lines, but none of my jewelry or watches are mail order. Consumer beware!

Disagree with the conclusions of the other review. I found this jeweler after recommendation from another jeweler on King Street to repair my expensive Swiss Watch. I had sent the watch to the manufacturer who replied back with a $700 estimate to fix it and had the audacity to return the watch partially disassembled. So I took it to Hanchey. Within 15 minutes not only had they reassembled my watch but also made some simple adjustments that fixed my problem...and for a whopping $35. This is an excellent local business, very nice people and clearly experts.

We have taken hundreds of watches to Hancheys for battery changes throughout the last 16 years and never had a problem. We took another brand new watch for a battery change yesterday, when the watch was given to the employee it was in PERFECT condition, and when it was returned to us, there was a huge scratch on the glass. Mr. Hanchey refused to take responsibility for what they did to my watch, and in my book, hes a scumbag! Never again!

Hanchey jewelers is the best place in town if you need to get your fine jewelry serviced. Whether it is an automatic or quartz, or whether its just to remove links or change a strap. Ive gotten to know the staff over the years of taking my watches to get serviced and they all are superb people. Their on site watch maker is a life saver for me. Some cases they can get your watch serviced within a day they are that fast.

I had my now fiances engagement ring made by Ashley. He did an amazing job and made exactly what I was hoping for from a few pictures and some of my own input. Everyone was incredibly polite and helpful and Ashely was more than happy to explain his methods for creating the ring, and give suggestions on what would and wouldnt work as well. In short it was a great experience and I couldnt be happier. Thank you all.

Incredibly nice and professional service! I brought my ring in to be rounded (after i made it oval shaped closing in a door)...they took it right back & fixed it, cleaned it, & gave it right back in just a couple minutes. When I went to pay, she said "oh theres no charge, have a great day"! Highly recommended for jewelry, clock, & watch repairs!!!

I had a stone made into a pendent. I checked around town for other quotes and this was the best price no doubt. The pendent was also finished before the quoted time. They custom made a crystal to fix my wifes favorite watch. Weve also used them to fix necklaces. A couple items have needed reworked but so far they have taken them back without an issue. The prices are reasonable and the staff have been friendly.
