I went to KMart and happened to have my prescription with me, and saw a little Rite Aid right there. I thought I might as well fill it while I shop, and Im glad I did. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I used to work at CVS and quit, so I can tell you that the problems the other users speak about are common but at the same time maybe not 100 percent accurate. Doctors of course say that they will fax or call over a prescription, but thats not always the case. Seriously, pharmacies can only run by filling scripts, but the doctor doesnt necessarily "gain" from sending it over. Im not saying Drs dont care, but trust me, its way more common for the Doctor to take their sweet time sending than for the pharmacy to just not fill it at all. Just because you hear the fax machine go off, how do you know its your script? I was a pharmacy tech for close to 4 years, and although the pharmacy usually recieves a bulk of the criticism, I wrote down every issue and figured where to put the blame. Almost 70 percent of the time, the problem was the Doctor not calling it in, or prescribing wrongly. Over 20 percent of the time was the insurance problem. The rest were pharmacy mistakes. There were a couple instances of pharmacies taking their time to do prescriptions, but in general its usually not the case. They do prescriptions ASAP usually. Its so funny that people go to a Pharmacy and wont wait 10 minutes for their medicine, but will go to a Doctors office and wait close to an hour just to have nurses do the work and the Doctor to look at a chart and say youre healthy. Dont you think filling prescriptions should take a little time as well? Unfortunately, despite going through identical schooling and having their doctorates degree, Pharmacists dont get the same respect as Physicians. All of this may not be related or applicable to this particular pharmacy, because again, Ive only been there once, but people for some reason are completely impatient with pharmacists as opposed to the patience they show their physician. I really cant judge their kindness because I dont know how they are on a normal basis, they were very kind and helpful the one time I was there, but if someone was there 5 times they obviously have a better sample size. My one criticism is that the store seems a little dull and dirty. There are a ton of Rite Aids in the area, and all the others are bigger and better looking. This one is in an unattractive location. Just a thought, but do we really need 15 Rite Aids in West Chester when theres only 1 CVS and 1 Walgreens in the same area? But as far as the customer service, I only have good things to say about their staff

Ive used this Pharmacy about 4-5 times recently. Based upon my experience at each visit I leave wondering if the people behind the counter are having a bad day. Nope. Their that miserable every day, every visit. It starts with the prescription being faxed over. 30 Minutes before I arrive the prescription is sent over. On every occasion the incredibly grumpy pharmacist looks up and says, "It just came over and I havent had a chance to fill it. It will be at least 30 minutes." Really? Am I a complete moron? So I didnt hear the fax go through over 30 minutes ago? What, did fax machine technology just change where this is a 30 min delay in printing. Now there is one exception where some, maybe 1, of the staff light-up. Ooooh its my friend Suzie, Hi there Suzie. They dont seem to care unless they know you. Again, the 3 pharmacist behind the counter never smile, ever. Not ever when theyre at the end of their shift. Bottom line - if you have a choice, go elsewhere until Rite-Aid management figures this problem out.

I wish there was an option for zero stars. This is the most disorganized pharmacy I have ever visited. If your doctors office calls a perscription in for you, you should just have them start by calling it in twice and then make sure you have an hour or more to wait in the store once you get there because they wont have it ready regardless of how many hours in advance it was called in. Never returning. Will be taking my business to a rival pharmacy from now on. Way to go Rite-Aid.

Another older Rite-Aid, it is very messy and the location is small. Customer service is average. It isnt all that clean. Their supply of bottled water was sitting on the dusty floor (and no, it wasnt stacked up). I thought it might of been their truck day until I realized that this is their standard practice since they dont carry too many packs.
