I have visited here prior and wanted to reserve judgment until another visit. Prices were decent, the person behind the counter asked if I needed help (generally friendly), however the state of the walk in humidor made me CRINGE! There were cigars laid out in open shelves with ripped, cracked wrappers with the pieces strewn about. Not a big deal as they can dry out and become brittle, etc (though they shouldnt in the humidor). What truly DISGUSTED me was the mold on several cigars. If someone were to buy them and place them in their humidor, there stash would be contaminated. The mold was not the occasional fleck, but several patches, sometimes on the same cigar. This tells me several things about this store a) someone is not monitoring the humidity (typically 75%+ humidity and warm is ripe for mold), b) someone is not monitoring the cigars, and c) with these moldy stogies sitting in plain sight (albeit a lower shelf), how are things that you cant see. For example, if you were to purchase any sticks in that humidor, there is a potential for many of the sticks to hold spores and spread. I noticed mold the last time I was in, but thought it might be a fluke or some bad stogies. This time confirmed it. Skip it for another cigar shop.

Well, I couldnt disagree more with twosixths review. Ive been a long time customer of G&G - since they opened over ten years ago. Service and knoweldge have never been anything short of impeccable, and they host a variety of great events every year for memebrr and non members alike. The staff is friendly and helpful. So my experience is just the opposite - this is the creme de la creme of stores. I submit as evidence: many major mfgs host exclusive events at G&G over major downtown phila retailers because of G&Gs loyalty and support by local cigar affecinados. I guess its possible for anybody to have a bad experience once - Id reccomend a return visit. IMHO - this is the gold standard - not even close to "ghetto kmart cigars".

G&G Cigars is an embarrassment to the cigar industry. Customer service at G&G was inattentive (watching TV in the back) and rude. Instead of hello my friend and I received a hurry up and buy rush from the staff... Just disappointing. Ive been a cigar smoker for 4 years now and feel brothers of the leaf are almost always friendly and respectful to one another... G&G is like a ghetto cigar K-Mart... I wont buy from there again!

I had a good experience here overall. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the selection was VERY good. Unfortunately, I was intending on smoking in their lounge because it was somewhat cold outside, but they said it was members-only. Thats unfortunate because I dont think Ill be going back there again because its further from my other local shop (JM Cigars). Nice selection, good prices, but Im not paying to smoke indoors.

The staff is horrible. Actually this place has changed owners recently and the new staff is horrible. The staff is usually in the back and takes their good old time to come out front. The prices are OK, there are cheaper places but there prices are not good enough to deal with the staff. Go somewhere else!

Knowledgeable help is not regularly available now that Gavin is very part time. The current full time salesman is very pleasant, but not knowledgeable. The fact that their events are not open to non-members and paying customers irks me. Their prices are higher then other Chester County shops.

Overall nice decent selection. The prices was the best part. Staff was nice but the guy there looks like he just started. Couldve been a little more friendly. If you know what you want its good, If not do your research before you walk in. Get in get out.

I agree with twosixths. The service was bad and seemed inexperienced. I cant believe they actually want customers to PAY for the privilege of smoking a cigar in their store! Get with it G&G. Keep up with your competition.

Hands down best value in West Chester. Staff is incredibly laid back and know a ton about cigars. Fair pricing and atmosphere make it a cant miss.
