If you are looking for a commercial pet store experience, go to the mall. These people are amazing and knowledgeable about all sorts of exotic creatures. Clean establishment, well organized, and the creatures here are well kept. You will need to be cautious, sometimes they have interesting animals on the loose here, such as baby emus or a tortoise, dont let these out on the way in. The Enclosure is a good place for grooming and care of exotics, carries live and frozen foods for a variety of creatures. Make sure to leave yourself with enough time to look around, and realize this is not a fast food for animals stop, the staff is attentive to every customers needs, and this sometimes takes time. I have heard rumors that they have refused sale or service to some people, they will not sell to people that they feel are not responsible and will not be a good fit for the creatures they carry. This is a good thing, they care about the animals. A word of warning, be respectful and careful, they do carry venomous creatures which are kept very safely in the back section of the place. If you do bring children with you, make sure to keep them under your control at all times here. They do have signs posted, make sure to follow them. Saturdays are interesting, is their primary feeding day, make sure to stay out of the way and be patient.

first of all birds dont get pain killers. Rachael & Mark are extremely knowledgeable about birds, they personally hand feed them & it shows. Their birds are so sweet & friendly. 1st time I went there I was new to area & my power was out they told me to bring them in asap & charged me 1/2 price cause it was an emergency. when my 1 bird bit my others tail feather it was bleeding so bad drops of blood were hitting the floor, I called Rachael since I was 20mins away she told me what I need 2 do immediately, thank GOD for her she saved Shelbys life. the only place they get groomed or boarded is Enclosure. They love going there, its like club med 4 birds & I know they share their food with them. If something happens to me Bandit & Shelby will go 2 Rachael & Mark, theres nobody I trust more with my babies than them. Mark is extremely knowledgeable with medical issues, if he cant fix it he will take them to his good friend an avian vet. So if u want to buy or board birds look no further than the Enclosure this is the place to go. They are the BEST.

Unprofessional!!! We shopped at the enclosure for years, and have unfortunately witnessed it decline in customer service and the conditions in which their animals are kept. The only thing that didn't decline, was their prices! We use to take our kids down on the weekend because they love checking out all the animals, but even they commented on the smell the past several times we went down. Rachael, who is the owners girlfriend I believe; would always watch us like we were gonna steal something! If that did not make you feel uncomfortable enough, she would curse at the birds. I don't care if you curse while your working, or to your birds. But when you do it in front of my children, thats when I have a problem with it! TO NEIL: EITHER YOU DON'T KNOW THEM, OR YOU ARE AN OWNER/STAFF MEMBER, BECAUSE THEY DO GET ON THE COMPUTER QUITE FREQUENTLY AND THEY DO POST IN HERE! Come on people... use your own judgement!

After reading the reviews below, I decided to write my own. I visit the Enclosure every once in a while, and almost always find the store very clean and tidy. Concerning any odors, it smells like a pet store, but nothing offended my nostrils :) Also, I have heard a naughty word slip from Rachels (is that her name?) mouth, but this relaxed atmosphere made me actually feel at ease around them. Lastly, and what made me decide to write the review, was that I saw this Rachel actually decide AGAINST making a very good sale, and after the customer left, I asked her why. She explained to me that she got a bad vibe, and felt it wouldnt be going to a loving home, and she is insistent that every animal she sells will be well cared for. I believe that the person who wrote "she will do anything to make a sale" is slightly misinformed. Check the place out, its pretty cool Id say.

I was at the Enclosure on Saturday with my husband and daughters. We all loved the place! It didnt smell by no means like so many people say it does and the animals cages where all clean. As a matter of fact some of the staff members were very busy cleaning and feeding many of animals the whole time I was there. I got a bearded dragon from there and I loved the quality of the place so much that we are going back on Sunday to purchase our second bearded dragon from them. I give them a thumbs up! They have very healthy and happy animals, they are clean, the staff are friendly and know their stuff, and the prices are reasonable. I would be willing to go there any time and I live two hours from the place, but its well worth the drive!

Great store, great workers. look people, like any other store, there is overhead. Sure a lot of the prices are high, but that can be said about every store. Owning and keeping pets cost money. I can buy a mouse for $3 at the enclosure, or $4 at Petco. Now I understand at reptile shows etc, that same mouse can be had for 75 cents. But, that vender is paying for a table for a day. Not paying for taxes, property taxes, insurance, workers comp, SSI, electric, etc that is needed to run the store. The store does have a smell to it, but with hundreds of animals that would be expected. Go to a rat breeder, mouse breeder, hog farmer etc and see how that smells. The cages, tanks, tubs etc are always clean or being cleaned.

Misleading in their representation of their parrots. At the very least they are overwhelmed but I suspect they are intenyionally misleading to ensure the sale. Misrepresented the parrot they sold me right down to the grooming they confirmed they gave prior to my arrival. The complaint of overpriced is the least of the customers concerns. Really disputed whether to post this as Ive never taken the time to do so, but felt compelled as there are so many better, more ethical, and caring parrot stores and breeders. The store was clean.

Took my Cockatoo there for toenail clipping. All 8 nails were clipped to the quick, and the bird couldnt stand on either foot for more than a minute. She wouldnt eat for 2 days, and our vet had to prescribe pain relief medicine. I have heard the same thing from two other bird owners since then. STEER CLEAR - this place does NOT know how to handle birds. If you like knives, skulls, and poisonous critters its fine, but take your bird elsewhere!

My family visited this store a couple of weeks back. The store itself was great. The animals seam to be well taken care of and the tortuous walking around was fantastic. I was surprised to see the cobras and other venomous snakes in the rear. The King Cobra was pretty cool. I was looking to buy a parrot, but could not get any help. I tried to talk to multiple people the entire hour I was there, but not one person would even respond.
