Awful. I brought my laptop there today. The laptops only problem was that the hinge connecting the screen to the keyboad was broken on one side. I was able to stack books behind the screen to keep it upright and use it. The screen display was working perfectly otherwise, it just needed new screws to keep the screen upright. After their repair, I got home and the screen was blank. I took it back and their technician had already left and wouldnt return until Monday. I told them I couldnt wait that long, so someone there connected the screen, and it turned on, but the screen now has a thick white vertical line. When I said that it wasnt there before and I wanted it fixed, they said that they have no proof that the line wasnt there before and that they didnt touch the screen (which they had to have to put screws and reconnect the hinge). In fact, they said if I bought a new screen, I could bring it back to them and they could put it in. I already paid them $60 to have 4 screws put in and ended up with a faulty screen--I dont think I need any additional repairs. I do NOT suggest taking your computer here.

I recently had two items that needed fixing -- a Thinkpad laptop that needed a new keyboard and a HP MediaVault file storage unit that had stopped working. First the Thinkpad -- they replaced the keyboard and mouse, but the right mouse button would not work. I had to go back twice before they fixed the problem about 3 weeks later. The HP Media Vault story was even worse. University Micro first claimed it was not a hard failure but that they could use software to recover the files. I kept going back week after week as the story changed. Finally, they gave the unit back to me 3 months after my first visit -- and they had not recovered the data. I took it to another store to find out that the University Micro incompetents had inadvertently reformatted the drive! So, if youre clueless and have a lot of money and time on your hands, University Micro seems to be the right place for you. Otherwise, stay away! I regret the day I went there.

Cheat!!!charge is non-resonable. My friend s screen have problem they said need charge her $50 dollar to diagnosis , after the my friend came to his store, the owner said he still cant find the problem , but seem the problem very big at least charge $200 to fix it, he loose my friend laptop a lot of part on his desk ,and ask my friend if my friend agree let him keep the laptop he can return $25 dollar to my friend. What a big liar, the c a lot laptop part sell at store or online not over $80. he charge people $50 to diagnosis but did nothing, and took part the Laptop force the client sell the laptop to them. even sell as part the Laptop still worth $50, he take my friend $25 without any diagnosis or service and take my friends laptop for free.

Micro center has great deals on their processors. Theyre usually cheaper than Amazon and Newegg. Ive been to this Micro Center twice now without any issues, but their staff sucks. Besides the gentleman, Dashawn at the pickup counter, the employees just pretend to not see you and carry on with their conversations as if you are a burden to them. Fortunately, I know enough about tech so I didnt have to "bother" them. If youre a tech newbie looking to get in-store help, this is not the store for you. I thought the staff at Best Buy was pretentious, but Micro Center has them beat.

Owner and his wife are nothing but nice and professional. Real passion for computers and willing to help you with problems. Was building a new PC (didnt buy any of the parts originally from the store) and the owner helped me work through a MULTITUDE of issues with the motherboard until I got it working. He gave advice, let me switch out parts from the store to troubleshoot and then sold me a few things at very reasonable prices (I compared prices online). Overall very satisfied and I still shop here for any parts I might need. Highly recommended

Be prepared to negotiate, as the owner seemingly pulls numbers out of thin air, with virtually no standards to back them up. Went in with a broken computer, estimates to diagnose the problem ranged from $75 to $500 (-_-) for a five year old computer. The problem was diagnosed quickly (two business days) and accurately and I ended up getting the service for free after some clever haggling. The staff is fairly knowledgeable but eager to take advantage of unsuspecting customers. Do your homework before going here and again, be ready to negotiate!

The last two times I bought items here they didnt work properly. An external lightscribe DVD burner stopped working after a month, and a USB adapter to read hard drives externally never worked properly at all. The final straw for me was a visit a week ago when I needed a small wire from inside my laptop soldered, and they wanted $25 for the service. I said no way and I bought a soldering iron from Wal*Mart for $8 and did it myself. So, they seem to have gone downhill unfortunately. :(

I have been using this company for several years now, and I am pleased with the service. My computer situation is always an emergency and they get the job done timely. On 5-12-2015 I had an emergency and needed a power supply. Within 20 minutes problem solved, new power supply. The price was fair and I was only my way. I will continue to use them and would recommend them. Ronald Dennis, Photos by Ron, LLC.

Hi, I would not recommend this store at all. I went in to sell my MacBookPro and asked for the amount that it was worth, $600.00. The lady tech was already rude when she spoke to me and claimed that the Mac was only worth 200.00, and said further that you could get a new one for that amount!!!! Let me know where you can get a NEW MacBook Pro for $200.00 not hot!!!!

If your shoping for a brand new computer. . . Look elsewhere BUT if you want a computer WAY better than what you have WAY cheaper than a new one this is the spot! Awesome off the cuff prices on lone parts and the best asian 60+ y.o. computer geek the work has supported by a bunch of other non Asian geeks. I love this place!!!

Nice people who run the place. They quickly assessed what my laptop needed, and gave me a very fair price. They did the work in under 48 hours (they had to get specific parts in), but that was faster than anyone else had quoted me. I wish they stocked more parts, but I will absolutely use them again.

Terrible experience. Sold me used, broken equipment. Tried to demand that I pay a 20% restocking fee for the 1 hour I had the component before bringing it back the same day. My personal opinions: The store is disorganized. The staff is unprofessional and dont value service.

I was trying to repair a broken AC port myself. I realized that my desoldering skills were not up to it. I was quoted $75 on the phone, but was able to negotiate down to $50. They did a solid job on a somewhat difficult task.
