I ordered an iced chai from the counter person. Standard drink, Ive ordered it 20 times and its wonderful. However, the barista put so much chai in the drink that I subsequently spent the next 30 mins in the bathroom getting "sick" after drinking 1/2 of it. I tried to "water it down with milk" too. The 1 star is because.- I went back to the same counter person I ordered from and told him that the chai and the portioning of the chai made me very sick. He then asked me if I had DAIRY SENSITIVITY. If I was allergic to milk, I would not have ordered a milk based beverage. As I have anaphylactic allergies I am very aware of what I CAN and CAN NOT eat. He was condescending and arrogant in the way he handled the situation. To even ask that is to insult my intelligence. I neither asked for a refund nor did I want one. There was no line at the time but he shrugged me off. When a customer comes back and tells you that the service you provide made them sick, I EXPECT to be treated respectfully. I did not receive anything of the sort from this individual and felt so disrespected by he nature of how he handled the situation. I have been going to RTM since I moved to Philadelphia and specifically to this place. How they handled the situation was horrid, his customer service skills need serious work.

I was dissappointed. For all the fancy trimmings this shop has I expected awesome coffee but no, it was burned. Im still drinking it right now and its *blegh*. Passeros in Suburban station is still the best coffee in town for commuters.

Definitely a good place to go for a cup of fresh coffee in the market. As far as the beans for sale, results may vary. Some of the beans arent refreshed all that often, and Ive gotten more than one bag of stale beans.

Its cute and warm. A great place to stop for refueling when walking around Old City. Their coffee is rich and always tastes freshly roasted. I never forgot to pop in here when Im near. Awesome lattes ; )

I like several of the Old City coffee blends. The L.A. Blend in particular is wonderfully strong. They often over-grind it at the counter, so ask for something more coarse than you normally would.

Love the coffee. Excellent change of pace when you are burned out from starbucks or dunkin donuts. Only downfall is that it is in the tourist trap hell known as the reading terminal market

I almost returned my mocha, it tasted a little off, like they used sour milk. I looked at the barista, and she told me I had to get in line again - I decided to just throw it away.
