My past experience at this location reaffirmed my stance on not taking your vehicle to a dealership for service. Typically I have my truck serviced at a local shop, however due to a recall I decided to take it to SH Chrysler for the explicit purpose of having the recall issue addressed. I made an appointment through the website for 7:00 AM when they open in order to allow them plenty of time to address the recall issue (which per the notice should take 30 minutes). First, I had to wait 15 minutes to "check-in" because even though there are four separate desks with service reps only the person who you are assigned to can check you in. So I had three other individuals staring at me while the individual I was assigned to talk to helped another customer. The interesting thing I find is that if I dropped off my keys through the slot I wouldnt have to go through this ordeal. I left and waited for them to call when it was finished. After waiting until 1:15 PM with zero contact from the dealer, I called the the office to check on the status of the repair....again 30 minutes of completion time based on the notice. After leaving a message because no one picked up I received a call from the receptionist saying that she would check and have the rep call me back. 15 minutes later I get a call back from the rep stating that it would be another hour and a half before its finished.........again a 30 minute fix. Thankfully, I was not relying on the vehicle to be completed timely because I expected this type of service from a dealership. I arrived at 4:30 to pick up my keys and there were already two other individuals in the lobby waiting for the cars to be "brought around" and both individuals were visibly irritated, must be a theme. I left to pick up my wife so we could take both vehicles back and when I returned around 5, the receptionist was on the phone with an irate customer about them not being contacted that their vehicle wasnt finished, so by my count that was 4 dissatisfied customers (including myself) that I witnessed in 25 minutes of being in that lobby. After waiting another 15 minutes for them to find my truck on the lot and bring it around, the saga was over. By my count I dropped it off at 7:20 AM (taking out the time that I waited in line) and did not have the option to get the keys until 4:30. So by my count thats 9 hours to complete a 30 minute repair. Just to put this in perspective, I took my truck to have the brakes replaced at my local shop today they open at 8:00 and they had it done by 11:15, keys in my hand at 11:30. So 3.5 hours for work to be done with zero issue or stress or 9 hours for a 30 minute repair. My advice, find a trusted local shop and only deal with dealerships for warranty or recall issues.

Update to this review: I turned in my 2015 Compass and purchased a 2017 Jeep Patriot. Dave Susko was just as patient and helpful as the last time I was here. He really wanted to help me through this process by showing me all of my options, explaining them, and telling me what he thought worked best for me. Sitting with Dave is like sitting with an old friend! He makes sure all of the details, no matter how big or small, are taken care of and follows up when he says he will. Very true to his word and wont promise anything he cant deliver on. Very straight forward and easy to talk to. I cant say enough nice things about Dave Susko - Id recommend anyone looking for a new vehicle to him. Hes the best and makes the car buying process a wonderful experience! I just leased a 2015 Jeep Compass from South Hills Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. About a year and a half ago, I came to this dealer to look at a used Jeep Cherokee with a hemi and the lady I had been talking to promised it was there. Turns out when I arrived, the vehicle wasnt there, so they put me in a 4-Cyl CVT Patriot to test drive. Not only was this the opposite of what I was interested in at the time, they sent the youngest salesman they had with me, and he knew nothing about the vehicle and didnt seem to care whatsoever about helping me find a vehicle. After this experience, I thought I wouldnt be back. However, a friend referred me to Dave Susko, and he was EXCELLENT! I had a recent bad experience at Bowser, and I felt like buying a car was never going to happen because I didnt want to deal with the sales people. Until Dave. He is very knowledgeable, patient, straightforward and no pressure whatsoever. I felt like I was seeing an old friend! The first (and only) car he put me in is the exact one I leased - I fell in love with it! He definitely understood what my wants and needs were, and really took care of me! He completely turned my feelings about this dealership upside down - I cant say enough good things about him. I definitely feel like I can trust him, and wouldnt want to buy a car from any place else.

A young family member with special needs had been driving the family truck, a 1994 Dodge Ram, for about a year. The size and age had gotten too much for her and she became afraid to drive it. I didnt need it back and didnt want to drive it 4 hours home so I decided to see if I could sell it. I was hesitant to approach the dealership after reading the reviews but since this family member had a earlier positive experience with the service department, I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The sales manager, James Richey, was very busy but professional. He told me he had to take care of some other customers but would have his staff look it over. He promised to give me an offer as soon as possible. (Multiple people were purchasing cars while I was there... They were busy!) In the meantime, a salesman named John Ison kindly showed us several vehicles. He was very low pressure and I appreciate that. After a reasonable amount of time, Mr. Richey presented me with a fair offer for my vehicle. It was in line with what I expected based on my research so I accepted it. I am writing this review because I think my experience as an out-of-town female who was not even buying a vehicle but was treated with fairness and respect says volumes about the business practices of the dealership. If we lived closer, I would absolutely do business with them again. I left the above review on another site but wanted to add information... I had called in advance to set up an appointment. I was running late and had to call in to let them know I would not make it on time. Not only was that not a problem, the receptionist was very nice and took care of letting the sales manager know. I believe my (reasonable) wait time for the offer was due to my own lateness. While we were waiting in the showroom, multiple people approached us to ask if they could do anything for us, to offer popcorn and coffee, or just to say hello. I dont know if that is just a manifestation of normal western PA friendliness or what, but it stood out to us!
