We have had our snow blower up here two times already due to the auger not working. The first time, we paid $200.00 and then some, for them to replace the belt, change the oil, and other things among these since it hadnt been working in a while (which was fine) - after that, we had a VERY heavy snow and it conked out on us when we really needed it. We waited until the snow melted off of it to see if the auger would spin again, and it didnt. Ace picked it back up and I explained to them what happened - that were able to turn the motor on just fine, but when we push down the lever to turn the auger on, it doesnt move - even with no snow or ice in it. After a couple hours of it being there, they called us back to say nothing was wrong with it - they turned it on without any problems and were blowing snow out of it. One of those wasnt even the problem anyway! The service department spoke to me like I was lying to them when I told them what was happening - like I would bring it up there to pay money if nothing was wrong with it.. Yeah right. So again, I repeated adamantly that we can turn the motor on just fine, BUT the auger wont move at all when the motor. is. running. After that, they said that they will turn it on again and see if they can blow snow out of it, then, they would call us back for them to deliver it. Needless to say, they never called us back. TWO WEEKS after they said they would try it again, WE called them back and asked whats going on. They said its ready and to come down and pay for it. "Pay for it"? They never told us what was wrong, only that we had to pay for some work that was done. My grandmother in-law comes back after paying $30.00 for them to literally state: "Started engine, works fine." on the service receipt. AGAIN - didnt listen to what I explained to them and made us pay for them to put gas in it, start the motor up, and let it run - which it did in the first place. I could have done that for free! I will NEVER take anything back up to those incompetent employees they hire at this Ace Hardware store. If you have the ability to take it somewhere else where they can listen to what the actual problem is, fix it, and KEEP it fixed - then go there instead. We have never had any problems here before, and we are very dissapointed in this service. We will be taking it to Lowes or Home Depot in the future if necessary.

This is a mom-and-pop establishment and thus the prices are a little higher than your typical Lowes and Home Depot. However for a small shop they have a great staff that is always eager and willing to help out. They do have a pretty good establishment with a lot of choices of tools for a small shop. I wish that they were open on Sundays because that is when a lot of people are off of work and able to do work around the house, however, they are closed on Sundays which makes it difficult.

Have been in the store multiple times for various things. They do have a nice variety of products including some really cute bird feeders which were quite a bit more expensive than multiple other places. However, it is a nice option other than the big box stores that are everywhere. Most recently in for a fan and there prices were very competitive considering the size of the store. Its definitely worth stopping in.

Got my fishing license there. The man at the desk said he was too busy to help me. The lady that did take care of me put a trout stamp on and printed the license for one year. What good is a trout stamp in late August? Then she told me there was nothing she could do to fix it. To top it off there was no "Thanks for your business." or have a nice day. Go elsewhere if you want help or good service.

Prices are very high. Customer service is okay, but no one approaches you in a welcoming way to ask for help. Do have some cute decorative items for holidays and such, but again it seems like prices are too high for the area and you can get comparable items elsewhere for much less expensive.

Bought a hammer drill there and it was twice as much as Lowes. Also rented a skid loader and was about 200 more than other places Ive rented. They do have some nice seasonal items and its a well kept store. Just expensive, but thats the majority of Ace Hardwares Ive been to.

This Ace is pretty small, dont expect much. There are s few people that are friendly here. The older man is not. Columbia Ace is like heaven compared to this one. The prices are always high like most Ace stores. Try to get to Lowes or Home Depot if you can.

Helpful, friendly, KNOWLEDGEABLE staff who always greet you and ask if there is anything they can help you with. Best deal on snow blowers in town right before winter and lots of specialty items that some of the "big box" stores dont have.

Sometimes you can get a lot of help, but other times you have to practically beg to get someone to help you. They are a little more expensive than other places and they are not open on Sundays.

Went to the help desk and showed the kind gentleman a picture of my broken toilet. He knew exactly what part I needed to fix it and it worked! Saved me from calling a plumber! Thanks, Ace!
