Teavana needs a complete revamping! Outrageously expensive! Most "teas" work out to be $5 a cup and contain little to no actual "tea." You are paying for a bunch of dried fruit and artificial flavor in a bag. It taste the way it does because it contains everything BUT tea, but also because they serve samples at a concentration level that is higher than what the packaging suggests. I could purchase no reasonable quantity of "tea" for less than $45! Years ago I bought a kit that contained several teas, canisters, and rock sugar for a reasonable price. That has been replaced with min-sets that cost twice as much and contain half as much tea and no rock sugar. If your name is "TEAvana" how about throwing some actual tea into the bags of Fruity Pebbles you sell. The whole set-up, pricing structure, sales pitch, just feels like one giant money maker meant to deceive. You have to pray that the employees are tied up helping other customers when you walk in or you wont get even a second of browsing time before someone is cramming a sale down your throat. Hey retail! This is why you are failing! People can comfortably shop online without this in-your-face annoyance. Want people to start coming back to the mall?? How bout an incentive instead of a deterrent! No self-respecting tea lover would waste their $ on this.

My husband and I venture into this location once every few months and were always satisfied with the sales associates and products. This time around we purchased a white earl grey that my husband really enjoyed. My two year old daughter sampled an iced herbal the store offered and she seemed to really like it. The two guys that were working that day were a pleasure to talk with, had a good amount of tea knowledge, and recommended a really tasty tea mixture that I ended up having made into an iced version. As per usual, we were happy with our experience. A+ I cant understand some of the reviews for Teavana saying things like "over-priced" or "nasty sales people." Really? Dont go into a higher end tea place and expect low prices for decent tea. Imagine what it feels like when a good portion of people walk into there basically saying "I have no money for this but I want to see what type of deal I can get anyway" Go to the grocery store and buy a box of Lipton - stop bothering people who actually want to sell decent tea for a decent price.

Hate the store, like the tea. When I walked in I was greeted very nicely, offered various samples of tea and interesting back stories on them. When I picked out two teas I liked, I was told I had to buy a $7.00 storage tin for each tea. Then the employee filled each tin to the brim, with a pound of tea, and the cost of one tea was $215.00. He told me I was saving money and getting some free tea. I was able to get it down to $22.00 for 2 ounces for one tea and then $18.00 for another 2 oz of another tea. The tins looked empty and it was such a waste of money to buy those $7 tins. Its a shame that the salesmen are so pushy and greedy because I would love to shop there! the tea is delicious but dealing with the employees is too straining. Order online. By the way, youre harassed a bit before you even step foot in the store. And you will have no time to look around before someone tells you to "try this" and "follow them." Again, order online!!!

AWFUL! I tried to kindly explain that I had a budget I wanted to spend to purchase some tea and the guy rudely ignored my wishes and kept trying to sell up ! when I continually told him, NO! He made me feel pressured because I was a mall employee and got the "amazing" 10% off?? Which really only saved me a few bucks... Rushing so I could get to work, I stupidly just paid and went on with my shift... by the end of my shift, leaving the mall ... I realized I was super pressured into my sale and this expensive tea is not in my budget and I decided to return it... the man handling my return was rude and slamming things. Questioning why would I return it? and they were kind enough to give me 10% off that I DIDNT ask for. While angry, when he was writing on the receipt he ripped it through the paper being obnoxious and I left sadly... and decided to call corporate ... who knows if anything will get handled?

I visited Teavana at the KOP mall for the first time today. First off, the shop smells WONDERFUL, like a delicious mixture of fruit and spice. I was interested in trying mate tea, which I never had before. The young salesperson took the time to explain to me the different kinds and flavors. I changed my mind a few times about what I wanted and she wast totally cool about it. I tried to offer her a nice tip for her efforts which she politely declined explaining that they are not allowed to accept tips. The tea was delicious (pretty much like regular tea but really strong and slightly, nicely, bitter). It was a really nice experience, a little oasis in my busy day. Im amending my review a bit, after reading the other reviews its just now occurring to me that I paid $5 for a cup of tea, which is pretty "steep" (pun intended).

Ordered on Black Friday because they had a specific deal on a travel mug that included a complimentary tea holder and sample of tea. They never sent the tea and have now told me "sorry, its not available anymore." It was listed on my purchase order and part of the reason I ordered it was because it was a package deal and the mug itself is way overpriced. Terrible customer service; would not order again.

They have delicious tea that is so extremely overpriced that I dont know who actually buys it. I did and then returned it the next day when I realized how little product (8 ounces) I got for $37.00. What a rip off. Does anyone actually buy this stuff more than once?

Bought 2 types of teas and both were absolutely terrible. Had shared with a friend of mine who loves tea and she agreed that both the monkey and the darjeeling are lousy. Wont be going back there again. Thats $40 wasted for 4 ounces of tea.

We felt extremely manipulated. There are no prices posted anywhere. I liked the tea but will never buy from there again. Customer service? I dont think so.
