My experience with this Napa was so frustrating it’s hard to know where to begin. I’m not trying to be insulting but there was a genuine lack of intelligence going on behind the counter --the transaction & return was just too complicated for them to follow-- and in the end they refused to do the right thing: I bought an alternator 3 weeks ago and when you buy an alternator, you are charged a deposit until you bring your old one in, which they rebuild and sell. I paid $145 for a new alternator and $66 as a deposit (for a total of $211). When I brought my old alternator in they refunded me the $66. Unfortunately, the alternator I purchased from them was defective and it left me stranded on the eve before I was to travel for Christmas. The alternator was under warranty and I called this Napa (where I purchase it) and asked if I could return it for a refund, not an exchange. The man on the phone said yes and I reminded him that I also had given them my old alternator and would need an old one as part of the refund. He said that would be no problem if the new one really was defective. So I had a mechanic replace alternator and I brought my Napa alternator back to them. When I got there they refused to refund me; they said they would only exchange it and everyone denied talking to me on the phone. I argued and they finally agreed to refund me $145 but would not give me an old alternator (as I had given them). They kept insisting they had “purchased” my alternator from me for $66. I had to explain over and over again that they refunded me a deposit which I had paid up front, they didn’t purchase anything from me. It took forever for them to understand that I gave them $210 AND my old alternator and they were only giving me my money back. When they finally got it (I think they got it), they flat out refused to give me an old alternator even though they admitted that they had old alternators on hand. (I needed this because every mechanic charges you more if you don’t have an old alternator when they replace yours). In the end, I had to call the mechanic that was doing the work and get him to use Napa’s alternator but now I have no warranty from the mechanic on his work because it’s not his product. NAPA made an already frustrating event unbelievably complicated and unpleasant.

I rarely deal with Napa but considering I had no choice one time when I was in the Seattle area and my alternator went out on my truck. After almost months the thing started over charging. I went into the Tigard Napa to warranty my alternator that has a 3 year warranty. They didnt have it on hand and ordered it for me. I came in the next day and a woman Terry was rude and was refusing to do the exchange because I had bought the alternator from a different location. Finally after listening to her horrible attitude for about 2 minutes someone else said that they would do it that it was not a big deal. She stormed off unhappy. I put the alternator in and drove the truck daily for almost a month and it started over charging again. So I took alternator #2 back and it again tested out bad and I had to wait two days for the new one to arrive. When I came in I unfortunately had to deal with Terry again. she went on to lecture me about how I have other issues going on with my truck if I am going through alternators like this. I also began to wonder after #2 lasted such a short time. But over the wait I had taken my truck into a very reputable shop and had them go through the entire wiring system and see if I had anything that could be causing this problem. $200.00 later everything on my truck checked out fine. The only thing that the shop told me was to never use Napa alternators and starters. I also talked to multiple people claiming they have had nothing but problems with these two products. Terry should not be involved in any customer service position. While waiting in line line I heard her deal with another customer and felt sorry for this kid that had to deal with her. Beware of her and wait in line until the next person is available to help. She is rude every time I have been into this store and I cant believe that she can go through life treating people how she does and still have a job in customer service

Very Very Very Bad Customer Service!! Before I bought the fuel cap, I asked the employee if the fuel cap does not work for me, is it okay to return it back? He said "Yes, just have the receipt and the box with you" After couples of days, I went to the store to return the part back. I shocked because another employee told me, you cant return it back because you use it. I told him, your coworker told me okay to return it back.!! He said I have no idea!!!! Therefore, I told him you can keep this part for you as well as my money!! Im willing to lose the money in order to keep the future customers save their money

I was fixing my truck. Called this location for a part. He said yes we have it but close in 10 minutes. I said Im coming now, he said ok well wait. I got there at two minutes before closing. The other clerk locked up early. I knocked, explained my phone call. He said were closed. I told him it was two minutes before closing. He said "so". Wouldnt let me in. And he was very rude. Ill never go there again. Went to OReilly and they were great.

Worst napa on the planet I work for one of the biggest automotive repair retailers in the nation and as a tech there I refuse to use this napa location and rather use one of their competitors instead due to the lack of knowledge rude employees to even unreasonable time deliveries and if you use this location avoid doing business with Terri worst and rudest counter salesperson Ive ever dealt with

This is the worst NAPA Ive ever been to. TERRIBLE service. I avoid this NAPA at all costs, choosing instead to often go to the wharehouse on the other side of town. Ive never seen a group of people that were more unfriendly to customers. Dont believe me, just call and ask a question.

Napa always has knowledgeable staff, and they can get just about any part you need, this was not one of those days though, I had to go all around town to get what I needed. Smaller store, good, but go to a bigger location or call ahead.

Napa in Tigard has treated me very nice, went out of there way to help me get the right parts. There are very nice people at the counter. I had a great experience with the the tigard napa. Terri was a great counter person to me.
