This is a tough review to write, because I really want to like this place. The folks working there are GREAT. They obviously like talking about games and they seem to know their stuff. They also keep the place clean and organized really well. Games are sorted perfectly! This makes hunting really easy and quick. The prices are also quite reasonable (I do not trade-in games ever, so I cant vouch for that). Unfortunately, and this is a big one for me, they use the most god-awful stickers in the history of the universe to put the prices/bars on the game boxes. For a collector like me, this is big giant red stop sign and will make me avoid this chain at all costs. It took me about 2 hours of effort to remove a sticker from one of the games I bought last night. An otherwise PERFECT game box and terrific condition game, totally ruined by deliberately placing a sticker on the box. Why would anyone running a shop, that supposedly targets collectors, intentionally damage their products? Its mind-boggling to say the least. If they ever change the stickers to something that is EASILY removed, or shrink wrap everything and put the sticker on the wrap instead, then Id visit this shop on a weekly basis. Until then... Ill peek in once every 3 months or so to see if the stickers change.

I have been going to this store since it opened. They are a chain connected to stores in Newberg and McMinville. The owners are extremely nice, and are always helpful. The kind of store that you just like to go, browse and shoot the breeze. I think prices are competitive, and if they are not, just let the staff know with some proof and most of time they will adjust if they can. The staff is great, Kyle, Ari are so friendly. They are fair on trade ins, and do have a great selection between there three stores. I am also a Magic player and they are friendly community to play with, if you want to learn they are more then patient to teach. Support this local store, skip the corperate chains, youll be better served!

Claim they test ALL games before shelving. Spent 20 bucks on a game put it in wii right when we got home, black screen AND said error on disc. Called Christian after getting error on the black screen and he said store policy Cant return except for store credit, is this how they make money? Makes you wonder...putting games on shelves knowing they dont work to get your money? Thats not fair, I would recommend them to pop in every game so we know that it works. ALSO---the games we picked where ones we settled on. There Selection we wanted there did not exist. ALSO had no remotes either. Place sucked in my opinion.

GameStar stores are well organized and well kept second-hand media shops that offer mostly fair prices on used Movies and Video Games. Of all of the second hand video game shops in the Portland area, I would probably recommend them first, as they tend to have a good medium between good product and decent pricing. They do sometimes indulge in overpricing popular titles, and I dont really like how they keep the better product behind the counter where its hard to read whats there, but theyre definitely worth checking out.

I love this store! They are very friendly and knowledgeable! Ive came in and gotten all sorts of games and also have been able to trade what i have for what they have. i also love the fact that if they dont have what i am looking for, they are willing to ship it to their location at no charge to me! I absolutely love this store and dont see myself going anywhere else for a long time

This place is awesome! They give more on trades than any other game store ive been in. Super friendly people and really good prices. If they dont have something your looking for they will find it and have it shipped to the store free of charge. They even do magic on friday nights. I wont go anywhere else.

They literally have everything I am looking for and if they happen to not have a game Im looking for they always find one within a day or so. Prices are great and staff is very friendly and willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to make you happy. Thanks Game On. I wont shop anywhere else.

Great customer service. but a lot of the things we get from there dont always work, but what can i say its a used game store. if i wanted new working stuff i would go to a store. We are very loyal customers and trade&sell all the time<33 highly recomended!

I love this store! the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable about what they sell. I have bought most of my DS and PS2 games with no issues so far, and Ive even preorderd new titles there for my Vita and PS3. Great prices and great service!

GAME STAR is the best I used to go to the one in Oregon City with my boyfriend. If youre going to sell games or consoles. Forget Game Stop this place will give you WAAAY more money for your items either cash or store credit. CHECK EM OUT!

Is now called Game Star. This store.has the best trade in value and customer service ever! Traded in some games there and the manager Kyle was polite and friendly. I will be going here for all my gaming needs. Love It!

Didnt have what I was looking for (Dreamcast stuff is hard to come by). Prices are about average on most games, but the staff was nice and helpful.
