Isnt that what its all about? Id never been to this store although Ive past it probably a thousand times on my way thru Sellwood. Seriously I never thought I could afford anything they sell - not because its uber expensive mostly because in the past Ive been uber poor. Times change. And the tax return was in the bank. Our trip to Sellwood was a bit disappointing as nearly all of the antique shops are closed, about to be closed or replaced with condos (true story). We parked down the street and over a few blocks so the parking was no issue for us. This store is clean, well-organized, and has two floors. Yippee. I was just interested in shoes and the price was right. I thought I found what I needed and tried to use their instore computer to get details on my soon-to-be purchase. No luck. So I asked if the shoes were water-proof. This is Oregon after all and eventually itll rain again. Wow. Our salesperson was spot on. She knew her shoes - her advice was great and I took it. I wore those shoes the rest of the day and I didnt even suffer the "new shoes gotta work the mole skin to soften the rough edges" issue I normally do. And the best part? Only $40 for quality I cant find anywhere else. Ive only had them less than 8 hours and theyre already my favorite shoes. Im a happy, satisfied customer. Good job!

We live in the neighborhood and have had a good experience each time weve gone in. The people there are nice and helpful. Being an outlet, the selection changes frequently, but deals can be found. Each time weve been able to find something on our list. It is an outlet, so dont expect to find that one thing youve been looking for or been waiting to go on sale. You may be disappointed. Instead, keep a list of things you might want and come in a month or so after the season has ended and see what you can find on your list. Youll go away with some deals.

I was recently the beneficiary of some extraordinary customer service from the Columbia Outlet in Portland. I wont go into detail as it was a service they dont usually provide (& understandably so, since they are an outlet). They made certain I had the jacket my daughter wanted for me, and went to great lengths to assure that. I am very grateful and love the jacket. Thanks for making this such a positive experience, and I will keep you on my "must visit" list when I am in the Portland area!

Awesome deals on Columbia gear, every day, plus ridiculous sales on the clearance items every couple of weeks. I rarely walk out of this store empty handed and have purchased, numerous times, jackets originally priced at $100-$200 for less than $20. Why anyone would be paying full price, I have no idea! Its always worth a peek, new merch coming in all the time.

I usually always find a good deal here and always recommend my out-of-town guest to stop by and they too always find a great deal. Staff is helpful but not pushy. Excellent selection and very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, this is only true of the Columbia sports brand. The Mountain Hardware stuff is rarely within my price reach.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. I was impressed at the large selection here. The clearance racks were all great prices. I got 2 pairs of shoes for me and 2 for the hubby and they were all on sale! As with most outlets, it is sometimes disappointing if you cant find your size, but the selection was still really good.

The staff here are very friendly and their product selection is terrific. If you live in Sellwood, it is even better! during the busy times, check to see if the cash register upstairs is running. We were able to get a quick purchase done by going up there rather than waiting in the line downstairs.

Its an outlet, I like Columbia but Im not a fan of the crowd. Staff is friendly but the selection for men is not the best. That being said Im sad to see Google making money off my desire to help a store I like but not helping me. Yep. You are the product people. Columbia, awesome. Google... Meh.

They left the ink tag on my jacket before I flew back to Minneapolis and the Columbia store in Minneapolis wasnt able to remove it for whatever reason. After an hour of driving, paid parking, and talking with the store manager over the phone they said a new one should be here sometime next week.

selection and price were okay. The return policy is horrible. They wont give cash back even if you present a receipt. When you do present a receipt they say they put the money back on your card. I have been waiting days, still no credit for my return. I will not shop at Columbia again!

Not impressed. Bathrooms belong in a truck stop. More staff than customers, but not in a helpful way. No markers on hangers, so finding size info is impossible. No place to sit to try on shoes. It only gets two stars because the prices are great.

The prices great, the staff pleasant - but my gosh, I waited in the check-out line for 10 minutes. One person manned a two-register counter, while other employees gabbed, threw hangers around, and ignored us. Thats not good customer service.

Great prices and includes extended sizes for women as well- hard to find. I purchased a lovely rain jacket with a zip out liner for spring and summer wear for $68 regularly $198!

Didnt have much of a selection. Staff told me to come back in a month. Rumor has it that they were going to have a sidewalk sale then when new inventory comes in.
