Christmas 2011 Glass Coke Bottles Just In. 99cents while they last. Clinton Market is Portlands oldest grocery store, in business 98 years. What makes it so nice is the great selection of real sugar premium sodas in glass bottles, fine restaurant quality wines, and top notch beers such as Fire Mountain, all available at discount prices. We also have a great selection of ice cream, and sell 3 times as much ice cream as any Portland area 7/11 for example. For high end sodas, beer, wine and ice creams, at deep discount prices, Clinton Market is a terrific consumer value. Some of the ice creams we feature are Magnum, that European styled ice cream made with real chocolate liquor like a fine candy. We also have some fine handmade fudge available for sale as well, and real beeswax lip baum among other items. We specialize in many locally made high end products such as Fire Mountain beer from Carlton, Oregon. This brewery produces some of the best beer on the West Coast. Other retailers are fine for your average run of the mill products, Clinton Market has those products for sale as well. But, the store also specializes in high end products sold at deep discounts making it a top notch retailer for those with discriminating tastes, but who like to save. Our goal is to offer a superb .$15 bottle of quality wine for $10. - Its never a good deal, unless its a good deal. Besides personalized service at our store, bicyclists are always welcome to park their bicycles in the store while they shop. And dog treats are always free to anyone walking their dog on the street as well. We also offer a small line of interest-free credit to regular customers as well, unlike other retailers who operate solely as cash and carry operations..Free home delivery is also available as well to local area customers unable to shop at the store due to age, illness or disability. All of this and deep discount prices as well.

Stellar beer selection, friendly owners (Barry is awesome & helpful), growler fill station, a lot of this and that you find yourself needing that you wouldnt expect from the oldest little convenience store in Portland. Its not fair to compare to the huge grocery stores in Portland like Fred Meyer, however they have the best price on my favorite beer in town. ATM on premises comes in handy with all the nearby cash only places (which Clinton Market is not). Great soft drink selection too, lots of natural options without high fructose corn syrup. I love the organic cage free eggs, best in town! If you want convenience & if supporting a small local business is important to you, I highly recommend. (Yes I realize how Portland that sounds but whatever, when in Rome!)

Best selection of HQ beer you could hope in a place this size and owners care about the neighborhood. Great wine selection too and plenty of sundries to help you through till the next major grocery store run. Fun Fact: this market is the oldest grocery store in Portland.

These guys are great, friendly, and one of the best things to happen to the neighborhood in a long long time. I walk the extra "mile" to go here. The other poster with the neg. post sounds like a bunch B.S.

Its a hole in the wall corner market, set your expectations accordingly. The cashiers are great and prices are reasonable. Just dont expect them to have everything youre looking for.

If youre from the neighborhood, this place is near to your heart. If its not, youre better off shopping at the Hawthorne Boulevard Fred Meyer.
