Wonderful selection and helpful, friendly staff. Came in looking for a new book that unfortunately they did not have but the employee happily ordered it for me. She told me it would arrive on Friday and that Friday I received a lovely voice mail letting me know it had arrived. As I was snooping around, I found a 1966 printing of Julia Childs famous "Mastering The Art of French Cooking" complete with a burnt cover. I love knowing that other people struggled through these recipes over the years. New books (and digital books) just dont have the same kind of charm. Great place, I highly recommend it to anyone!

I loved the store itself, they have great prices and a vast collection. I have a difficult sense of style to swallow and I dont feel very respected there. I understand that persons such as I bring it upon myself to a extent having tattoos and piercings and have a shaved head, but it still hurts a girls feelings. Punk girls read as well lol and not only was I treated like my business was unwanted but also like they didnt even want me seen in there:(

Wow, the clerk was a jerk...& lied to me on the phone. Dont go there to sell used textbooks. He wont buy them & will instead spew insults at you & really just be an overall waste of time, leaving you feeling suicidal & stupid for even stopping in this joke of a bookstore. Condescending & demeaning, I question how this guy ever ended up in a customer service position in the first place...snobbery at its very worst. Gross!

Tsunami books needs community support now! If you want to keep shopping at Tsunami books and dont want another cultural hub in our lovely Eugene to disappear go there now and help them out. It would be another sad but typical loss for Tsunami to close for some other non-local chain to move in. Pledge your support today to save just one little piece of our local heritage and culture.

Great bookstore with an authentic local feel, reinforced by its double life as a venue for local events. Books not in store were special ordered and arrived within days for pickup! (Compare to Amazon, which shipped mine to Texas) Staff demonstrated great customer service by recommending books and trying to find cheaper used copies....all in all, 5 star experience.

This is one of the last great small independent booksellers. They host author events, as well as the Eugene Poetry Slam. If they dont have something on stock, they can almost always track it down and order for you. The staff really know their books, and are always handy with a relevant, interesting recommendation based on your interests.

i loved this independent store when i lived in south eugene during the rainy, late 90s winters... what better way to spend an evening than w/ an inexpensive used book! id read a few, sell them and purchase more. the mural/painting on the outside of the building is awesome.

Quaint store with a varied but modest selection. Not always very friendly or helpful. But after working at an independent, used bookstore myself for many years, I get the apathy and cold approach. There are other gifts and sundries to be discovered.

Tons of choices new & used. Not many brick & mortar book stores anymore & the building owners have doubled their rent to get them out. Please support its store by visiting & purchasing or donations.
