I stopped in to purchase backcountry skis after decades of using touring skis. I had already done substantial research on line and was hoping to buy locally. The primary sales guy knew nothing about the skis from sizing to performance. When I asked direct questions, he tried to divert the discussion to casual conversation. He involved three other salesman in the process. All had vague answers to questions and seemed to have difficulty coming to consensus and wanted to size the skis based on height, when weight is the primary determining factor. I asked if they had a sizing chart available for the skis from the manufacturer and was told, "probably somewhere, just get the longer ones." Finally, I asked about price. The salesman appeared with a set of boots and bindings with no discussion about options and I had to add up the total on my phone. They charge for mounting bindings which is included with every on line vendor. The total was almost $200 more than on line pricing from three other vendors (shipping was free for all). When I told the salesman this, he just stood there like a deer in headlights. I spoke to reps from three on line companies, all were extremely knowledgeable and able to discuss the products and variations in detail. Save yourself time and frustration and do some on line research.

I came into the store about a month ago with an old board I had purchased at the swap meet. I was immediately greeted at the door and asked what I needed help with. I explained to them that I had bought the board for my brother for Christmas and he had old ridden it once but the top was peeling off. The employee gave me a few options on what I could do with the board and explained each of them when I wasnt understanding. Ultimately I chose to have it epoxied since my brother was a new snow boarder, but he showed me some other options of boards that might be a better fit for someone with my brothers riding style and size. Although I didnt buy a new board, the sales associate was very friendly and knowledgable, I never felt like I was being pressured to buy anything I didnt want. When I picked the board up a week later it looked great. I would definitely recommend Buckeye to my friends and family for their winter sports needs.

I had a service problem that had been completed by a mech. that was no longer employed at Buckeye and the problem was not detected for over a year after the work was done. I went to the dealership and pointed out the problem to a man I think was the owner. I explained to him I had to have the electronics rewired and an additional cost to myself somewhere else. He to me he would stand by his work and give me credit for future service work. This spring I toke my boat in for a spring tune up and a transducer installation. He stood by his word and preformed the work during their busy season with no delay at NOT COST. Its nice to find a business that stands by their work and their word. It was also a pleasure working with Daniel and the service department. Thanks again Karl

Salesman was kind, courteous, and constantly available at all hours. I contacted him through email on a Sunday, and he was answering my emails all the way up to 9PM! Talk about dedication. The entire experience was easy and painless. Pete, the man who gives you the tour of your new boat, is fantastic to deal with, and a class act. I read that this dealership is in the Top 100 in the world according to Boating Industry. It shows! I highly recommend them!

Buckeye Sports did a great job with my skis. I got their microjet recondition with filling. I thought it was a little too expensive, but my skis were badly damaged from going over roots and rocks in the trees. All I can say is wow! Its like I got a new set of skis. They were much faster, sharper in turns, and I could really use the edges without fear I would lose grip. BSCs reconditioning was 100% worth it and I will be back again next year.

My purchase and use of my new lund rebel has been the best experience since sliced bread! My sales person was of great assistance in making sure I had all the things I needed to begin my boating season. This is my first boat and I must admit i was afraid of being taken advantage of when it came to the purchase. In comparing prices else where I did pretty damn good:) Thanks john Look out walleye.Next on the agenda a 9.9 for trolling.

Bought a new Lund from these guys, I e- mailed them at first and they emailed me right back.Jimi did all the research and answered the thousand questions that i had. When it came time to pick the boat up, i couldnt make it on a day that Jimi was there. Jimi set me up with Ralph, and Ralph went over everything with me and helped me with all questions.These Guys know their stuff and are super friendly on top of it. Love my new Lund!!!

We met Jimi at the Boat Show in January, and ordered a new Harris pontoon boat from him. Throughout the entire process, he was a pleasure to work with. When we took delivery, Peter, their Customer Service Manager, spent several hours going over the features with us, and did a great job. Good selection of boats, both for fishing and sport. Closest place near the area to get winter sporting goods. Great selection of downhill and cross country skis, snowboards and all of the goods that you would need to have a great wintertime experience. Closest Wintersteiger ski and snowboard tuning machine. Puts down a wicked base structure and some sharp edges.

Was told that my Marker bindings were too old to adjust for different boots. Discovered online how to adjust bindings myself! Thanks for saving me some money! The builtin obsolescence the Marker manufacturer is promoting backfired, because I discovered I dont need to pay a ski tech to do what I can do with a screwdriver and some online instructions.

Emailed about a boat 2 times without response and called without a return call. Spoke with a young lady who said the salesman was with another customer and would call back never called. Bought a brand new boat from freedom thats much further away. You would think in January you would be eager to sell a boat big mistake buckeye.
