Searched pretty hard to find a shop that I vibed with enough to trust to do a memorial piece for my father, I then found Sandusky at Dark Woods shop, weve had 2 sessions (its a pretty big piece) and I will tell you I am VERY VERY pleased with the realism he did in my tattoo, his focus, & his energy. This was a very important piece and he has made me feel more than assured I was in great hands, and he has also proven himself too. I have never been happier with a piece. He blew all expectations out of the water that I had in my mind for what this piece was going to look like, he brought it to life. The shop is upbeat, relaxing, you feel at home, they are always smiling. Great place!!!!!!! 5 star++++++++

I was several days ago (Friday) to see about piercings. I checked the place out prior and the guy was super nice and went thru the process (safety and prices) on a holiday. Carly took care of me. She was wonderful. I never had any other piercings than double pierced. She asked what I wanted and I told her. She said great & helped me choose the earrings. I was kind of nervous but her and my husband put things together for me. I had problems whatsoever and Carly explained what to do to have a quick healing process. I already exactly what I want next and cant wait to come back :) Great shop and great artists. Hubby looking forward to doing a tattoo here also.

I reviewed photos online from all the artists and decided the two hours of travel time would be worth it to get the detail in my tattoo that I wanted. I called and talked to Ryan about my artwork, size, location, timing, etc. and he answered all my questions. Setup an appointment with Ryan and two weeks later my tattoo was done with all the detail I was hoping for and looks awesome! His timing and estimate was right on spot with what he quoted me. Would highly recommend Ryan! As far as Dark Woods - it was easy to find, very clean and all the artist we met were very friendly. I would highly recommend it to someone thinking about getting a tattoo!

This is the only place Ill choose to get tattoos and piercings, and has been since day one! Everyone is like family, and treats you like family too. Youre immediately welcomed into an extremely clean shop, beautiful art decorating the walls, (done by the tattoo artists themselves) and a happy, fun atmosphere. Great music always playing, and someone always around to make you laugh and feel comfortable.. Their pricing is affordable, and their artwork is all original. Any style youre looking for, they can go above and beyond. If youre NOT coming to Dark Woods for your tattoo and piercing needs, youre missing out!

I love my tattoo it was my first tattoo and its awsome. I got my tattoo on my foot and it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be . I would recommend darkwoods tattoo studio. They are very friendly and clean . I found this tattoo place because of there reviews . What else was nice is I called today and they got me in . I had an appointment at nevermore tattoo in zanesville and I drove all the way there to find out they doubled booked really disspointed they did that twice to me . So I found darkwoods tattoo. So happy. Thank you .

Got my nose pierced and the lady that did it was very professional. It didnt even hurt that much but she noticed that I was pale and clammy afterwards and she handled it fast and very well. She quickly directed my husband to lay the chair back and she got me a glucose lozenge. It has healed great and I am very happy with the whole experience. I recommended her to a friend and she got her nose pierced by her as well and told me that she was super impressed with the place and the professionalism of the piercer.

I was referred to Ryan Funk by a good friend, and was not disappointed. He was helpful with every step of the process and I felt super comfortable! He worked with me for nearly an hour getting the design and placement exactly how Id seen it in my mind. The final product was perfect. I will surely be returning soon! This shop has done four of my piercings and each turned out beautiful. Also recently got a tattoo by Reptar here! Shop is clean, & a fun, friendly environment. The prices are reasonable and have a great selection of jewelry. I recommend to all of my friends to come to Dark Woods for their piercing and tattoo needs. Ill be going here from now on.
