After 9 years of being told by countless tattoo artist from all walks of this earth, that my forearm was to badly damaged. That it cant be saved or that the risk was too high, I had given up all hope that my arm would ever look good. You see I made a poor judgment call while deciding where to go and why. It ended up costing me dearly. 9 years of looking at my body in disgust. Finally I stumbled across The Modern Moose Studio. My friend begged me to speak to Steve Johnson the owner. I said fine one last shot. Steve informed me that it was the worse scarring he has ever seen, but it was fixable. After six and a half hours I was blown away by his craftsmanship. He in my opinion is truly a master of his art. Not only is he skilled in applying his art, but has a mind for business. His shop is the cleanest and safest feeling shop I have ever been in. The atmosphere comes off as a family friendly place and doesnt give off that grungy tattoo vibe. His staff that he employs are all super sweet, funny, and well educated in their craft. All of them are approachable and willing to help with any questions you may have. The most amazing thing I witnessed was how Steve applied morals to his every day business. You see he is a family man and has children himself. After an under aged minder walked into the shop asking for work to be done with a parent, he professionally had to decline their business. He refused to work on any place that could possibly cause employment issues for this minor in the possible future. This blew me away. A man turning business away for the customers protection. He was able to discuss this with the parent and together all three came to the conclusion to alter the location. This to me showed the up most professionalism. Caring about his clients future. This shop was truly an amazing experience and I will never forget the amazing work done here. I will never go outside of the Modern Moose for any of my tattoo needs again. I highly recommend it. It would be an injustice to yourself to not at least come in and check this place out for yourself. I learned the hard way with a 9 year life lesson. Dont make my mistake. You get what you pay for and Steve is worth every cent.

I had done some looking around online for a tattoo shop to get my next tattoo. I hadnt gotten any tattoos in florida yet because I had just moved here two years ago. I came across Modern Moose Studios and loved what I saw so I decided to get it a try. I walked in and was instantly greeted by amazingly nice staff. Everybody was so friendly and happy as soon as you stepped in. I told them what I wanted and the girl told me Steve was finishing up a tattoo but I could go talk to him about what I wanted done. We discussed my elephant design and he said he would draw something up with what I already had drawn out. I can back and hour and a half later and Steve came and sat down and showed me what he made. I feel in love with the design. He took my little outline of the elephant and turned it into an amazing detailed design. He was so nice about everything with so many ideas I was completely stoked. After paper work was finished and he was set up, he asked me how I wanted the color and shading and I told him to do it how he saw fit. He was super excited to add his own ideas as he saw with my tattoo and I can say I was by no means disappointed. He showed me all of his needles that hed use and made sure I knew everything was sterilized and packaged and was only used just for me. Made me feel extremely comfortable. As he tattooed me he talked to me, made me feel comfortable and never hesitated to ask if I was doing okay. He is extremely funny but very professional. He even stayed after his hours to draw up and tattoo what my bestfriend wanted. I couldnt have picked a better studio to get my tattoo done in Florida. Best place I have ever gone, best staff I have ever met. This will now be where I get the rest of my tattoos. I absolutely love it here!!!!!

Modern Moose studios has deffinatly set the bar high for all other tattoo shops. From the moment we walked in I knew this place was not your average shop. It is hands down the cleanest, warmest and most inviting place. We were greeted by Steve the owner. He was very friendly and welcoming as was his entire staff. The original artwork on the walls is not only beautiful it gives the place a very home like feel, unlike the shops with the weird vibes and all the stenciled boards everywhere. You actually feel like you have walked into a art studio. My husband and I went to get a matching couples tattoo for our anniversary. While our tattoo artist Matt was setting up, for the first time ever in a tattoo place, we were offered soda, water, and lollipops. Steves hospitality is unmatched. Matt is absolutely a fantastic artist and loves what he does. He is light handed, a big plus in my book. He would be great for a person looking for their first tattoo, as well as for people who just love ink. This was my first black and gray tattoo. We absolutely loved the way they came out Thanks Matt!! While waiting on husband to be done, we even got the chance to see a beautiful cover up piece Steve had done on a womans leg I would have never guessed it was a cover up until she told me. It was a beautiful peacock feather. Steve is an extremely talented artist. There is not one negative thing I could say about this place. Thank you again Matt for the awesome tattoos!! And a huge thank you to Steve for providing our new forever tattoo home!!! My husband is planning to come back to see Steve about getting a portrait done!! Modern moose studio is a step above all the rest!! You guys rock...

My friend and I went and got our navels pierced and it was a great experience. The shop was amazingly clean and the staff was extremely knowledgable. There website has pictures of the jewelry they offer but the pictures dont do it justice! They have such a selection of jewelry it was hard to only pick the starter, I wanted to buy half the store. The prices were very reasonable too! Ben is the guy who did our piercings and he was very thorough about EVERYTHING with both of us even though we were in the room together he made sure that each one of us was treated individually. It was great. He made sure he'd showed each one of us that everything was sterile and he was very thorough with the cleansing of himself and the room. They are also very thorough on aftercare. When the piercings were done we watched a short video on aftercare, recieved printed aftercare instructions and they sent an email with a thank you letter and another set of aftercare instructions. He was very professional in his work ethic but very down to earth. He had us laughing and smiling the whole time we were in the room. The only problem I had with them is that we all forgot to get our bumper stickers before we left! Other than that I highly recommend hurricane tattoos and will most certainly go back for any piercings, jewelry or ink I get in the future. Thanks guys! You did a great job!
