As a consumer, I placed my faith in Discount Drug Mart (Independence). Ive moved away from this store because of their dishonesty on pricing. My experiences: Items are advertised (both in the mailed circular ads and in the store) at a specific, lower price. When the items were brought to the cash register and the price disputed, the clerk took (sometimes a long) time to verify the price. Its a frustrating and disgusting experience that I walked away from this morning. This overpricing happened about six times in the same amount of months Ive shopped there. This can not be a sloppy coincidence, but by design by the management that believes the consumer is simply gullible, if not, stupid.
