Eric the Nomad

Closest hardware store to west Kettering and Oakwood, but one of the worst when it comes to customer serice in the Dayton area. I have been in the store twice for plumbing items I needed quickly, but no one would ever, ever help me. No greetings, and, if you walk out without a purchase, they ignore you. I now drive to Ace Hardware on Stroop and Wilmington (past their Stroop and Marshall branch) or to Lowes near Bellbrook.

Easily the best hardware store within walking distance off my house! The store is incredibly well stocked for such a small store with extremely helpful and knowlegable people. Best of all, the prices are fair! Their prices on quality products are always in line with the big box stores and are often cheaper. If you want junk, this is not the place for you, but for quality products I am always amazed at the fair prices!

Greive hardware is usually staffed by teenagers who know nothing about the products and dont give a damn about their job or their customers. Do yourself a favor and go to Ace Handyman. Its less than a mile away and the staff is knowledgeable and professional.

(The Kettering Store) Had a screen made for our entrance screen/storm door and a window. I had no frames for them to use. Only measurements. A PERFECT FIT ON BOTH SCREENS. I highly recommend them! A great place to browse also! RWR

This is a great place. They have everything and in small quantities if you need it. Stuff you cant find other places. Small store atmosphere but fabulous customer service. Really nice people - a pleasure to shop there.

Excellent hardware store - hands down better than buying in packages at the big stores. They help you find the smallest bolt, screw - you can buy one in just the size you need. Wonderful for replacing glass in windows.
