On 8/7/2016 I visited this store to get a gallon of milk. When I approached the checkout counter I noticed a young woman sitting on the floor counting cash behind the cash register. She told me that someone would be with me in a minute. While waiting, I noticed that the woman had the safe open. After 5 minutes the woman stands up and puts several hundred dollars in cash on the counter then proceeds to check me out. When I handed her a fifty dollar bill she told me she couldnt change it. This woman stood there with hundreds of dollars in 20s, 10s and 5s, IN PLAIN SIGHT AND AT HER FINGERTIPS and tells me she cant cash a fifty. Disgusted I asked for my money and left. Being very upset that this woman blatantly lied to me, I returned to the store 20 minutes later to talk to the store manager. Another male employee said that the woman that refused my business just left but said that she was the store manager. Her name is Ashley Legg. Update; On the same day, (August 7. 2016) I also called Dollar General corporate headquarters to file a complaint. I was told that my complaint would be answered within 24 hours and someone will return my call. It is now August 13, 2016 and my call to the corporate office has not been returned. I will never patronize this business again.

Not even worth it being 3 mins away from my house. Ive never hated a store so badly. Building itself is messy, most of the time things are in the way of aisles. Shelves are normally not stocked consistently as well. If something IS in stock, youll have to guess on the sticker price and make sure its not broken, as that is a common occurrence too. Then, if you item is there and is the right price, there is normally NO ONE EVER at the register to check you out. When they finally do take their good old time getting there, they can never check you out immediately- for me, normally the drawer needs to be counted, or stuff cleared out of the way to check someone out. Please get new management, or just shut the place down. We dont need another place in the world to go to just for bad service.

Always friendly employees. Good service, usually fast. The selection including grocery is pretty good for a small neighborhood store. A decent variety of frozen for last minute too. Prices, especially on after holiday clearance type items can be exceptional.

If there was a choice of giving less than 1 star on staff friendliness that would be to high. The store is horrible.
