The baby woke up at 3 AM and I was in desperate need for some sugar. After some middle of the night research, I called my husband to pick up some jolly pirate donuts on his way home from work at 6 am. Did not disappoint!!!! Sincerely the best chocolate long john I have ever had and I am a donut snob. I was a bit leery after reading some of the reviews concerning the long johns not being filled all the way(nothing worse!), but my long john runneth over ;) pretty sure it was gone within 1.5 minutes and will definitely be my new cheat day reward. Thanks jolly pirate for a job well done!

I was displeased. Had to wait on donuts being made. There was only one person waiting on people. There was another person there but they didnt bother to help the person out front. Also got bismarks and they were only half filled with cream. That is the best part and got half way thru the donut and was disappointed the rest of it. I heard the man tell the girl to only put half cream. Didnt know what it meant then but knew once was eating the Bismarck and I even bought a dozen of them. Very Very disappointed.

The girl working the counter had a smile and said "You have a great day" after completing the orders for the two patrons ahead of me. But when it was my turn to be served I got neither. She handed me my change then turned away without a word. All I ordered was a half dozen donuts and a small hot chocolate. Its not like I was being difficult so Im not sure what caused this sudden change in her mood. Whatever. Hope she isnt working the counter if I decide to go back.

They have the BEST Apple fritters. Reminds me when I was a kid. Once a month dad would take us to the local donut shop. Much different than big chain stores. Was very sad when It closed during going to new ownership. The dream and memories now go on for a new generation. Good coffee. Other donuts, pastries, and brownies. All excellent. If you go on weekend, go early, or there might be a line out the front door. Even if there is a line, it is worth it!

Really disappointed since the reopening. The quality is down by far. ive gone multiple times and the filled donuts are very inconsistent. Today the glazed donut and Bismarck I purchased seemed stale. The store is almost always out of multiple kinds of donuts and has not had donut holes the last six times I have checked. I have called in and been hung up on. The store has been surviving off of the great reputation that was made before.

Went here 10 years, it was awesome. Then it closed down, reopened with another owner. Beware, if you like cream inside your donuts and donuts that arent stale this may not be your place anymore. Not the same at all, even the atmosphere is different. Wont return, wish I had just kept old my memories of it instead of trying it with new ownership. Donuts hard and barely any cream in the middle. OH! And raised prices lol....smh

Since the ownership change its just not the same. They always seem to be out of donuts, which isnt a good thing for a place that sells them. It just seems they are more focused on the bottom dollar, than the customers experience. 5 visits since the change and every time it is the same...I miss the old company!

So many choices, all delicious! I got a dozen "regular" donuts (which really means everything except the fancy ones in the glass counter display case), and a medium coffee to go for slightly less than $10! The glazed/honey dip ones are traditional, I know, but theyre my absolute fave! The best part? Theyre open 24/7!

Love it glad they opened it back up doughnuts are sooooooo good. But one or two of the girls always has a attitude like she would rather be at home with mommy. Then making her own money you gotta learn sometime. Parents are not always going to support you. Other then that I love the place and the doughnuts mmmmm mm

Only go for Apple fritters but they are always out and never have more being made. Even told me once that they had to wait for other donuts to sell. Apple fritters couldve been sold if they made more and sold less of others. Its their loss in business, I went somewhere else for them.

These are the best donuts in Grove City, OH by far. They have a large variety, they seem to have an endless stock, and they taste delicious. To top it off, the donuts are reasonably priced. Its like $7.50 for a dozen amazingly delicious donuts. I highly recommend you check it out.

I like donuts as much as anyone but I go there especially for the coffee. Its a mild coffee with a great taste! I will continue to frequent my Jolly Pirate here in Grove City and I recommend that you do too.

New owners learning the balance of supply and demand but excellent quality donuts. Id say better quality than before for the cream filled and still excellence quality as before for the cake donuts.

In the interest of being selfish and not wanting them to run out, the buttermilk donuts are awful. Stay away from them. Theyre tasty, glazed, iced piles of regret. Please stay away from them!

When they reopened, they were raved about. Lines were out the door. I thought the donuts were OK, but not exceptional. Ill be heading back to Krispy Kreme/Dunkin/Amys in the future.

On Sunday morning at 6:00 am donuts were stale. Have been going there for over 30yrs. and never ever got stale donuts. If I wanted stale I could buy them at the grocery store.

I have been eating donuts from Jolly Pirate my entire life. They are terrific and have always remained exactly the same. I will continue to go back as long as they are there.

Went there the first day they reopened and the donuts are just as good as before. Guess were all not as "bitter" as Kitty.

Fantastic donuts in a very local and retro environment. If you can sneak away to Grove City, this place is a treat!

Our favorite donut store ever, donuts are great but the friendly service is what makes it special to our community!
