I took my Volvo to Byers have a light bulb replaced about two weeks ago. The next day I noticed water in my light assembly. Bob, the service writer had me bring it in to make sure the caps were on right. One was kind of loose so he had me drive it for a couple days with them off and moisture went away. Rained again and again had water in there. So after my third time up I got in contact with the GM, Dave Johnson, and he had me meet him there at 3 pm today. When I arrived Dave and the Service manager Tom Beard came out and looked at the car in the service drive and Tom said he did not believe changing the bulb could have caused it. I let them know I was not there to get anything free but I wanted my car to be the way it was when I brought it there. I said are you really trying to tell me it is just an amazing coincidence it happened right when you changed the headlight, and they both agreed that it "could happen". I have worked in the automotive industry for twenty years and ironically started at Byers years ago. I have sent hundreds of people for service to Byers over the years and totally regret it. I hope none of them ran into an amazing coincidence or a "could happen". I will be moving my business to MAG, Midwestern Auto Group, in Dublin. I am not the guy to write reviews but I am so surprised with the way this was handled I had to say something. I will do an update to let you know total cost for a light bulb change at Byers. So far we are at about ninety dollars and four trips out to Byers to change a bulb the General Manager says "takes about nine seconds".

I went to the service department to ultimately set an appointment to get a few things checked out, and one thing fixed before winter hit. When I walked in, all the service associated were eating or about to eat. I get it since it was lunch time. One person finally said can I help you. I started to tell him about my issue and he said I needed to schedule an appointment. (while he was eating) I smirked and said, enjoy your lunch and walked out. I guess me wanting to "show" him my problem on my car and also what I wanted him to check out was asking too much. I guess I cant compare this dealership experience to the ones I had at Toyota or Mercedes. They at least "acted" like they cared and walked with me to my car while I showed them the problem I was having, (you know, a conversation!!) then I set my appointment to get it fixed. To top it off he then came to my car (while I was trying to leave) to explain that he knew what was wrong with my car. How could he if I didnt get a chance to explain everything I needed to get fixed!!?? Just an overall lack of customer service from a dealership that sells a car I love to drive!! Probably would have cost me AT least $500 to get my issues fixed (no problem for a car I enjoy)... thats AT least $50 for each chicken nugget. Hope it was good!! My past experience with the parts department, 100%, Grade A service. Ill be back for parts, NEVER service.

Dont Buy Here. I completely agree with these other reviews that these people are dishonest and crooks. I bought a used vehicle from them for about $10,000 and just three months later, the transmission went out due to rusted transmission lines. I was told when I bought the car that it was checked out by the shop there and was in excellent condition. I was also told that despite not even a 30 day warranty on the car, I could expect from the Byers name that I would be taken care of if there were major issues. When I had the trans fixed in the city I moved to, I went back to them and they said they would have fixed it for me had I brought it to them first, yet when I brought up another rusting issue with the transfer case I was told they couldnt help me but could give me a "free detail" for all the troubles with the car. Laughable. Meanwhile the dealership Ive had the work done has told me the rust has likely been an issue for a while, meaning the car had major issues when I bought it. Ive been lied to and misled multiple times by Byers and treated quite rudely by one of their managers. The Byers name isnt what it used to be, stay away completely

Be sure to ask for Aaron Finley at Byers Volvo! We previously purchased an S60 in 2013 and an XC60 from MAG in 2014 and never experienced the quality of service Byers offered us. Aaron Finley was our sales specialist- he was completely honest, hardworking and accommodating to our schedules. Aaron even came in on his day off so my husband could test drive the car (XC90 T6) and to answer all of the same question I asked earlier in the week and throughout multiple emails. Aaron also took time to go over all the information for each XC90 on their lot and was honest enough to admit when he wasnt sure about something- to me, that spoke volumes about his character and it was reassuring to know the correct information would be relayed. We were also looking at three different XC90s; one at Byers, one at Mag and another out of town- Aaron knew all of this and never once made us feel pressured, nor did he say anything negative about the competition (unlike the competing dealers). Everyone at the dealership was very nice and helpful- we will definitely be back! Thanks again, Aaron!

My experience with Byers has been wonderful since the day I bought my used 2003 Volvo S60 from them! The Service Department is without question the fairest, most professional, and trustworthy that Ive ever dealt with in my life (Im 42), and I say that having worked in a Lincoln/Mercury & Kia Service Departments personally. A intermittent issue with my A/C was the reason for my most recent visit, and Tim & Bob were outstanding in empathizing with my frustration regarding the issue. The stellar Techs found the issue, and also found an issue that I wasnt aware of while preparing to replace my tires. Although I was in a panic, scared of what it would cost me, they were able to help out a little on cost, and now I am confident that all is well again with my Volvo. Every person Ive ever met or dealt with at Byers Volvo, and their used car Department has been cordial, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend anyone looking for a car to check them out first! Thank You Bob, Tim, and the great Techs at Byers Volvo!!!

I bought my first NEW car from Byers Volvo many year ago. After buying a few more new Volvos from Byers I decided to drive a different make luxury car. It had nothing at all to do with Byers, I just wanted to drive a different make car than a Volvo at the time. THEN, I had many negative experiences with this "other make" car and the service at the dealership. I now have hindsight, which we all know is 20/20. This month, I remembered all my positive feelings I had about Byers Volvo and returned to buy a new XC60. I was greeted by the same Sales Manager I met many moons ago! I could not be happier with my 2017 XC60, the dealership, but most importantly, the PEOPLE! You are NOT pushed into your buying decision at Byers, and your phone calls are either answered very quickly or returned promptly. At Byers you will surely be treated with the utmost dignity and respect. I am a customer for life and it makes my car buying process easy and stress-free! Sincerely, Joe Morgan
