I went in to Focused yesterday to get my septum pierced. My first complaint is the guy doing it was kind of rude. It wasnt a huge deal because sometimes people in these shops tend to be rude but then again Im paying you for a service so you should be more polite. My second complaint is the guy gave me a terrible piece of jewelry. I visibly have a large nose yet he used a very small horseshoe piercing in it. The result is a piercing that is unable to be flipped up to hide it yet it is not visible enough when flipped down. Basically you can just see the two balls inside of my nostrils at all times. My final complaint is there was nothing that came after the piercing was given. I was expecting a little information about my piercing either given verbally or in an informational packet as I was given with other piercings I had done before. I now know to never visit this shop again and I urge you against it. I probably ended up wasting my money because with the awkward level of visibility of the piercing I would be unable to work. Im very upset and really wish Id just gone back to the shop where I had my other piercings done which has nice employees and does piercings for much less.

Last December, on a whim, I went to the w. 9th shop to get my industrial pierced. It was a Christmas gift to myself and I was super pumped! I initially went in at like 1pm. They said that the puercer didnt come in til 4pm. That was annoying but I was like whatever. I went back at 4pm to get it done. I was nervous and the piercer was not helpful at calming my nerves. That should have been a sign that it was gonna go wrong. He made fun of me when I said my mom was gonna kill me bc she told me not to do it. He was like "youre a big girl *chuckles* you can handle yourself." I wasnt sure if he was mocking my weight or my nervousness- strike 2. After I saw the finished piercing, I asked if the bar was too short. He assured me that it only looked that short because of swelling. Lo and behold, it rejected. I went to a different shop, one that my friend suggested and had gone to many times. The piercer there said that from the scar it left, it looked like the bar was too small. I will never go back to Focused.

I went and got my nose & outer cartilage on my ear pierced in november, the service was nice, the piercing was quick not much pain-However, I visited your west 6th location in early Nov to have my outer cartilage & nose pierced...I noticed my nose ring and earring are both corkscrew so my dilemma is how the hell am I suppose to take them out and put them back in? Giving the opportunity I should have been presented with options and a little more info on my piercings. Now my cartilage piercing came out when I was asleep and I had to damn near kill myself putting it back in

Ive been to the one on Coventry and had a better experience there. But this time I went last October with my best friend to get a septum piercing here at the one on W.9th. It was the worse pain ever lol and Jimmy messed up my piercing had to take it out and redo it!!! Ouch.. I guess he made it up by taking $5 off?!?!?!. Not very friendly or welcoming in this establishment and it sucks because theyre the only piercing shop close to where i live.

My friends each got a cartilage piercing. The man doing it was very friendly and gave us an information paper with cleaning instructions which was helpful. The only down side was having a really long wait.
