Kroger Englewood really disappointed me last night. I placed an order on click list around 2:40pm for the 7-8 pm pick up time slot. We pretty much planned our evening around that. Inspite of the closest ClickList being about 30 minutes from us, with 4 kids, and still chosing to shop for produce myself, its still been a great service for our family. Except this time, our first time trying Englewood, it was a huge failure. We went to a restaurant near by about 6:30/6:45. My phone died right about the same time. So I left it charging in the vehicle while we went inside, we ate and left. Getting to the ClickList parking spot just barely in time. I call the number. A woman, who sounds like shes had a long day, answers; asks my name, and then her voice tone changes to defensive. Telling me they tried to call; couldnt leave a message because I dont have voicemail (true); and that they arent able to fill my order tonight but can do it tomorrow. Or I can cancel it. In my mind, Im thinking. Its EIGHT OCLOCK. I didnt have my phone with me for less than NINETY MINUTES. WHY didnt they know this in the OTHER FOUR HOURS after I placed my order?!?!? But, instead of losing my temper and getting frustrated at her over the phone, I calmly said to cancel it. With 4 kids and my husband in the car, I asked to let me go in alone and just do the shopping myself. My first and last stop was produce. They were out of a variety of baby carrots, except for a huge 2lb bag. Ok, no problem, Ill get bell peppers. Except they were squashy feeling and prune-like. I looked around and there were a number of empty spots, so I just left. What was the point of getting only some groceries needed when I had already been dissapointed three times in a matter of minutes and would have to end up soipping somewhere else anyway. I know this is really long. But I am so very irritated. Yesterday was really the only easy option for our family to go Krogering this week. And Englewood Kroger screwed it up. Not only did they screw it up, which i really dont have that much of a problem with. But the woman who answered sounded condescending and irritated at ME for not having voicemail, for not having my phone on for the LATTER 90 minutes of the 5 hours and 20 minutes after my order had been placed. All of that without an apology that I can recall nor an explanation for their failure. Really Englewood Kroger, so very disappointing.

I have shopped exclusively at Kroger for many years. My main store has been the Austin Landing store for years. However, I moved to Englewood a little over a month ago. I have been to this Kroger a total of four times, and I will not be returning. The store is clean, organized and the staff is friendly and courteous. My major downfall is two things. Firstly, the store is just way too busy all the time. The only time you can go and not experience major crowds is very early (7AM) or after 9PM. Its insane even at lunch time. Since experiencing this, Ive used their pickup service ClickList twice. It takes more time than I expected. I have scheduled pickups in the evenings, and it generally takes around 20 to 25 minutes to complete from the time Ive arrived. While I find it a bit convenient and affordable, I also find it wasteful. The produce selected is in poor quality. Even when specifying what to pick (no bruised or severely damaged fruits, etc), I still seem to find myself throwing bags of mushy apples away with large, scattered bruising. I also received a bag of mixed chips (Doritos assortment) that had a sell by date 4 days out from my purchase date. Between the busy store, ClickList being unreliable, Ive moved on to the local Meijer. Nice store, just busy and needs kinks worked out.

This is a biased review of this store, I used to work here in the grocery dept. I love this store because it is always clean looking, big and relatively open design floor plan, less cramped than older Kroger stores. Since I used to work here, I know where everything is so I never have to ask anyone. This is a great store to go every year after a holiday to find marked down holiday items (candy, crafts, general merchandise). I dont miss working for the company, but the department head staff here is great, but there are too many corporate managers here who just get in the way of the department lead staff who, at this store, have been doing the job much longer than the younger management staff.

This location is in Englewood, the reviewer All R & R should not bring up Dorothy Lane Market in their review of this location because the nearest one is like a 40 minute Drive. It would be like giving a review of Dorothy Lane Market and comparing it to Jungle Jims. Apples to apples please. This location is what it is, a Kroger with some nice home goods, great selection of natural foods, AMAZING SUSHI, great deli (Boars Head Brand) and meat/seafood counters. I usually fill my cart up too full with grocerys to shop any of the home goods but its nice to look at. They also have a nice large wine selection I only wish they had a beer cave!

This is my favorite store, however, they need to do a better job of making sure certain items that they normally carry are on stock. Anytime I go to a store two or more times in a row and they are out of my favorite items its a problem. Also the customer service can be better. Twice I have mentioned the items that were out of stock to different employees and each time they seemed to take offense as opposed to just fixing the problem. Without those two issues I would have given the store five stars. This is my local Kroger so I hope they address these two issues.

There managers suck at this store, they do not care if its 80 something degrees out they make there baggers push carts in the weather and will get mad if you say you cant because you will get sick. One of there costumer service managers Heather Brooks is very rude to her workers and likes to make there work day horrible. She will make them go home for no reason at all. She really need a to get fired

Ive been shopping here since I was in my little Bert and Ernie slippers and Im 37. I want to say that all the employees are great, however,Lori and Mark (11pm-7am shift I believe) are the best. They are very sweet and caring people in general. Thanks Kroger for always having what I need and being patient when I come through with two carts full of groceries. God bless you all!

If you want to go to a huge Kroger grocery store, this is the place. Almost too big to find anything not out in the open. It also seemed like my grocery bill was a little more than usual even though I didnt buy anything out of the ordinary. I do love their huge selection of organic foods, though - definitely made it worth the extra time.

My favorite grocery store. Love their meat and produce. I feel that some of their prices are a bit high sometimes. With that being said, theyre always having sales on all kinds of different things. I feel that their sales and online coupons make shopping there worth it. Not to mention being able to earn fuel points!! I love Kroger!!
