I will begin this review by stating the obvious: Clare, the espresso machine tech from Deeper Roots Coffee, is a gem! She came, she diagnosed, she fixed. She undertook the task of re-building a group head in less than ideal conditions, and never wavered from her task despite the best attempts of customers and smart-ass staff to distract her! Such was her fervor that we had to remind her to take sustenance throughout the day. Then, when the troublesome group head was repaired, she decided to go ahead and get all "preventative" on the second group head!!! Yes, there are espresso techs closer to my north central Ohio location... Yes, there are "experts" in Columbus and Cleveland... But, for my money, you will find no more honest, efficient, and professional technical services than those offered by Deeper Roots Coffee.

This is a great coffee shop in a great location. Parents, if youre taking your kids next door to Blue Manatee (which btw you totally should) make a point to stop by here and grab yourself a great coffee treat. The decor in here is really beautiful and makes the place very inviting. The tiny clipboards were aparently made by using the 3D printer at the Cincinnati Library. Who knew!?!? There is also a lot more seating than it appears from the outside. Also, it must be said that the wallpaper here is super cute! They offer many coffee options iced and hot as well as pour over options. The staff was really great at making recommendations and they suggested the honey cinnamon iced latte when I told them my likes and dislikes and they were spot on! Great coffee shop, will return!

Super kind staff, delicious treats. Atmosphere is unique & vibrant, with tasty coffee to boot. Seating was limited with a lot of single people taking up tables for 4. I planned a meeting here sight unseen but only got lucky when a customer (who was at a table for 5-6) offered his table because he would be leaving soon. I was lucky for the kindness of this stranger, but I noticed many others that morning/afternoon who were unable to be seated because of single persons taking up full tables. Perhaps a bar option could be great to fit more of these kinds of patrons, and open up seating for larger parties. Still had a nice time, though!

Nice atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff. Very pricey. Another reason for marking down a bit is more a matter of personal taste, but the espresso I had was VERY edgy, acidy, had a strong orange peel bite on the back end that ruined the whole experience. Most espressos Ive had are much smoother, more chocolate, caramel. Ill try their beans at home and see how they are. They are proud of having beans that have just ben roasted with the last 2-3 days.

This space used to be the old smoothie shop attached to the Blue Manatee, but its a totally separate and grown-up coffee shop now. The decor is great and the staff knowledgeable. They do have non-dairy milks for vegan and lactose intolerant folks. Its a bit of a squeeze with limited table space, so probably not the best space for your entire book club, but its perfect for one or two people to grab something warm to drink.

Dont expect a $0.99 cup of coffee because you wont find it. What others have said about pricey is pretty true, but this is a case of "its worth it." I drink a LOT of coffee and Deeper Roots is hands down the best Ive been able to find in town. Their beans range in flavor so much that Im consistently amazed they all come from the same plant. Friendly staff make for a great experience.

Deeper Roots just gained another star for me, actually, two. They have some great beans and make a great iced coffee for the summer. I used to think theyre beans were over roasted but something has changed, them or me. Either way, 5 stars for great locally roasted coffee. I really like their toast options but the prices are high.

Ive begun to telecommute a couple days a week and have enjoyed exploring local places coffee shops to spend my mornings. So far, this is my favorite. (I actually thought twice before posting this review for fear of it becoming too popular.) The capaccinos are delicious and the space has a quiet, modern vibe to it.

I love how they renovated this space, it is a huge change from blue manatees "decaf". Coffee is great, staff is super friendly and went above and beyond to serve myself and the kids I brought with me. There is still a door to blue manatee inside the shop, and a convenient water dispenser with glasses too.

I came to Cincinnati from Indy for a baseball game, and mate a point to come check this place out. Im a big fan artisanal coffee, and I absolutely loved this place. Friendly and knowledgeable baristas. You know that they know very much about the coffee trait. A must visit if youre in the Cincinnati area.

The coffee is great, and the seating room is nice and quite. Its great for doing work on your laptop. I loved the nitro coffee. A word of warning though, it did not seem to have many sweet frappe like drinks. This is a place for coffee lovers, and is all about the coffee, not what you add to it.

Always ready for customers at their actual opening hours, unlike some other places in the area. Staff are friendly and remember what you typically get. Coffee is well sourced and freshly roasted. Their speciality drinks tend to be unique. The space is clean and well decorated.

We had the iced latte, but found it...bitter? Slightly hard to describe, but we werent keen on the taste. Their selection of pastries was of the same ilk and uninspiring. It was ok, but we probably wont be going back. Loved the seating area, though, and easy parking.

Good coffee - they know what theyre doing in that regard. But the space is sub-par. They are very limited in terms of square feet, and they only have about 7 tables, which are usually occupied by some freelancer and his macbook. Great coffee - not so great space.

Without question the best quality cup of coffee you can get in Cincinnati. They have a wide variety of coffees, each with a unique flavor. I have never had a less than wonderful experience here after dozens of trips here.

Great espresso and their iced Americanos are wonderful. I love going here and getting coffee too. The deeper roots roast is balanced and consistent. I have yet to be disappointed with my orders here. Thanks deeper roots!

Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, good coffee, and some tasty treats. I highly recommend getting a bag of coffee, trying their pour overs, and the cinnamon toast! Also, one of the few places that makes a good latte!

Lower than average priced coffee. Decent selection. Limited seating and little cozy factor. Personally I like to sit somewhere and be overly comfortable, so a space like this wouldnt suit me

Love this new coffee shop. The coffee and toast are great, and the staff is really friendly and welcoming. The coffee on nitro is a must try! Its different, but surprisingly refreshing!

Great place for espresso. Their roasts are amazing and they keep out performing themselves. If you appreciate espresso & coffee, you have to give these guys a visit.
