Its got a long way to go to make this store Great but hopefully it will get there. Very limited selection of foods. Nice quality food. Their salad bar is the best in town which isnt saying much. There arent many places to get a high quality salad in Winston Salem Period. The way some of the food is prepared it seems as if the Chef doesnt have enough help or hates His/her job. The Veggies are not cut to salad size pieces, I have yet to have a properly cooked Sweet potato. Same menu week after week. the Menu still caters to southern cooking. Which is why people in the south are overweight and sick. That being said its still better than most other places in Winston Salem. Asking for new items to be brought in is futile because they say they dont have enough room. If they were to cut back on some of the facing of the regular brands they would have the room. I shop there because its better than any other grocery store in the Winston Salem area. and I have shopped at all of them now looking for a 5 star Grocery. Not going to find that in Winston Salem.

Its easy to buy into the organic lala land mentality when one enters a whole foods. Sadly, upon exiting, reality slaps you in the face and you realize youve just dropped $148.32 on a single sack of groceries. Of course, the prices are higher than Aldi (where you can get basically the same variety of organic items only youre digging in boxes and wincing through fluorescent lighting). At Whole Foods youre not only paying for the food but the experience...directions from super friendly tattood hipster employees, a market styled floorplan and maybe the Seitan is on sale? Its a great store dont get me wrong, but I consider it a treat to shop here a handful of times a year.

I bought a personal lubricant. Hastily put the product in my basket without reading the ingredients as I thought the store had standards. Found out otherwise. Its common knowledge and has been for years that parabens are linked to cancer. This store charged me $9.00 for 2 oz of an inferior, unhealthy product. While waiting to speak to the manager on the phone about it, I had to listen to their propaganda about how all of their health and beauty products and chosen to keep me healthy! What a joke. Has anyone else noticed how Whole Foods has become shamelessly profit-hungry? Im sure its not just me. Its sickening to see what they charge for some products.

Ive shopped this store irregularly since it opened. Im now fairly convinced "a**hole" is a personality requirement for anyone stocking shelves or working away from the cash register. Always great friendly customer service when I go to pay - but God forbid I need help finding something. Im always spoken to as though Im not worthy to shop at WF. I frequently have to refrain from reminding these people that when it boils down to the brass tacks, they still work at a grocery store.

Very clean and organized, and easy to navigate the parking lot, unlike pretty much every other Whole Foods, but the customer service is usually sub-par. The other day, we had to wait about 3 minutes to check out so that Randy could finish his conversation with a co-worker. When I finally asked if he was actually open, he snapped at me that it would be a minute. No, they were not discussing work. Very inconsiderate.

Great products, from responsibly sourced locations. Organic, sustainable, ethically raised or caught and processed. Wide selection of fresh meats, produce & cheeses. Great salad, olive, & trail mix bars and bulk grain selection. In house bakery and deli bar for convenient preared fresh foods & snacks. Fresh grind your coffee, almond or peanut butter. A bit on the pricey side.

Love this store. Convenient location, especially with the stoplights that were added last year near Whole Foods. Very friendly and helpful employees. Food, Bakery, and Coffee bar, along with being able to have a taste, or glass of wine. Along with the many food items to choose from, there is also a good selection of skincare, shampoo, soap, etc. They sell flowers too.

Organic food labeling is not controlled in the USA - Anyone can slap one of those labels and get away with it. Whole foods is the biggest supporter of mega farms in the US. As far as this Whole Foods in Winston Salem...it is small, the parking lot is always full, and I refuse to inconvenience myself shopping there. I prefer Harris Teeter, which is down the road.

While the prices can be a little steep, its well worth the money. Great place to buy fresh fruits and veggies, bulk nuts and grains, humanely raised meat and seafood, natural supplements and beauty products, and plenty of fair trade items. Also perfect for a quick coffee or lunch from the hot bar and salad bar.

Its the only place I shop now for food, there are no other options for organic, non-gmo foods that are not processed. Highly recommend to support Whole Foods and they will continue supporting your local farmer and your health as well. BONUS: did you know their receipt paper is even BPA-free?

Nice place, always clean with friendly staff (When you can find them). Ive had to wait an extraordinarily long time for someone to assist me in recent times, but past experiences were not like that. Great selection of produce and they will prefer things for you of they dont have them.

The majority of the staff is friendly and understands how to provide good customer service. The store doesnt have good sales (mostly $3 off of a $15 item). Usually very crowded so I try to go when theres not a lot of people. Its better than most grocery stores in a place like Winston.

Very small store with a limited prepared foods section. The prepared foods looks and tastes like it is left out for days and fails to meet the Whole Food standards Ive seen in Austin and Boulder. Unfortunately this is probably best/only option for organic food in Winston-Salem.

The customer service is excellent, but I am disappointed with some of the recipe changes. For example, the smoothies, the corn bread, and the chicken pan pie. Even with these changes, I still enjoy shopping at Whole Foods, because they have a large selection of organic foods.

I come here every week and the place is very clean and organized. Staff members are very helpful and friendly. They have a variety of selection of organic fruits and veggies and in my opinion are the best. Their seafood is fresh I love their farm raised salmon.

Great produce, cheeses, and prepared foods. You get what you pay for, i.e., quality. However, it seems to be exclusively staffed by hipsters - beware of the excessive plaid, ubiquitous thick framed glasses, dreadlocks, and the like.
